I honestly don't understand why people with media connections can be so stupid as to issue public statements like this. It seems like they ought to be savvy enough to want to make sure a story has been vouched first, but I guess the temptation to seek social media "likes" outweighs common sense.

If you’ve ever paid attention to the Lincoln Project, you would know this stunt is right up their alley. It’s far more credible that this was an LP plan than a TM one.

It is not only Republicans. I am a Democrat and finding this unacceptable.
