| I think it’s hilarious people are saying this is because she is Latin. Have you all not seen the average Latin woman in this area? There are not many 50 year olds with the same background that look like j lo. |
| I’m no plastic surgery expert by any means but I do believe her when she says she hasn’t had any Botox/fillers- but also when celebs say that I think it doesn’t exclude a mini facelift. Either way, she has always had beautiful skin! I’m sure all the lasers and other non-injectable stuff on the regular helps keep her looking so young. She looks incredible! |
I'm thinking it's not the genes, it's the $$$ that makes the difference. Who knew?
|
I'm a 40 yr old latina. Doctors are shocked when they know my age and see me. They believe I should be a college freshman. I work with Africans and poc who also believe me to be in my 20s. However I think jlo looks her age. She does not have the small thin body she did when she was dating puff daddy. After kids she became wider framed and has a harder face. |
|
She eats well and exercises.
|
| If she’s had Botox, I don’t think it’s in the eye area. She doesn’t have that squinty eye Botox look at all. |
If you think she's not wearing make up there, I've got a few bridges to sell you... |
As an asian, what I find incredible is that her skin has very little sign of sun damage. She doesn't look that dark w/o make up (meaning not so much melanin protection) and my guess is that she has not lead a lifestyle that religiously avoided the sun since childhood (absolutely no judgement on that, just assuming that was not her culture) so how does she end up with skin looking like that? Even with lasers, peels, botox plus your usual celebrity ($$$) skin care regimen, I really don't see how anyone can retain that kind of skin absent just really, really good genes. |
Hello! I am a Cate Blanchett/Nicole Kidman white person. J.Lo has some melanin, which helps for sure, but I think you're right, not enough to discount genetics. I think the main thing for her is she has always said she stays entirely out of the sun and wears high SPF every.single.day. I don't think her "culture" was to stay out of the sun, but I think she did. I saw her circa 2001 at the Puerto Rican Day parade and she was absolutely running to get away from crowds and away from her people and was worried about skin exposure. She's always been very forthright about getting that bronze glow from fake tanners. She looks great and she has worked for it for 30+ years. |
I have that skin and no, it's not good genes, my mom has horrible skin damage. I've been doing a combo of yearly IPL and BBL plus retin-a since I was in my late 20s. After my 2nd pregnancy, I started to get some melasma, so I can't do lasers anymore and switched to profhilo and chemical peels. Since my 30s I've been using heavy duty European sunscreen and sun hat. Summary: it's not genes, it's $$$. |
Botox can be injected to lift the eye and make it look bigger. |
I was guessing it was this, lasers and peels. I have stayed out of the sun since I was 13, I have used sunscreen religiously and never had a sunburn and I still have some spots (I’m guessing it’s because my diet goes from just fine to absolutely shite over the course of a few months!!). J-Lo has very obviously eaten a very healthy diet to stay in that shape. For some reason, I never fault people for topical treatments. Peel whatever. Shoot off whatever. It doesn’t “count” to me as much. |
WOW - you are right! She looks like a different person! Her eyes and nose are totally different, and her double chin is gone. Anyone who thinks J. Lo hasn't has a ton of work done is blind. |
| Without a doubt she has had MANY cosmetic procedures and surgeries. This is not genetics: it’s money and fame. |
