Kids harm teachers sometimes especially in self contained rooms. Your average Gen Ed kid isn’t going to hurt a teacher out of nowhere for a fake Tiktok challenge. Grow up. |
What do you mean, exactly? He is legally entitled to a public education until he is 18. What do you think alternative high schools are for? |
Is someone going to post a link to the video? |
Ugh my kids graduated from this school and I've seen the video (and my kids know the teacher and the kid involved). Shameful, what a brat that kid is. Frankly I'm surprised to see this happen in our school and embarrassed. It's actually an awesome school. |
Then we just hire a group of teens and leave him knee capped. No need for this waste of oxygen to keep going around doing as he criminally pleases. |
And the stall doors and in some cases, the entire damn sinks. |
IEP or not this student needs to be removed from this school and locked up - put into a juvenile delinquent program.
I hope the teacher presses charges. We are sick and tired of this administration and the lack of support for teachers and staff. |
Loudoun County schools still have SRO. However, it takes them being called to the incident for them to intervene. This teacher is 100% going to get fired, according to my LCPS teacher friends. |
If you're really a teacher in any grade above 5th, then you know how seriously students take November for 'no nut November.' I hear things that NO teacher should ever hear. Anyway, announcements have already started at my school that smacking a teacher's backside is considered sexual assault and will be treated as such. They are trying to get ahead of it instead of playing catch up like on the last challenge. |
I can't imagine the teacher would go back into the classroom after that. Fired, quit. Either way, that student has physically injured the teacher and wrecked their career. |
No use talking with the close-minded "SRO or Bust" parents. They genuinely believe that one person has the power to solve any and all issue before they occur. |
Not just one person, but one person with a gun. |
I'm not "SRO or bust" but I've read studies and most students feel safer with an SRO on campus. And whatever the new plan is, it's obviously not working because things have very obviously gotten worse this school year. |
PP again. What I mean is, I'm open to learning more and hearing other views but based on my reading, the pros seem to outweigh the cons. |
