Woodgrove HS student physically assaults teacher

I read that article, whoa, "altercation" is a very mild way to put it!

I hope the teacher wasn't seriously injured. Terrible.

student should be in jail for a very long time.

FYI next month’s TikTok challenge is for students to smack the backsides of teachers. Brace yourself for a lot of reports of those kinds of physical altercations.

A lot of kids need a lot more support after the last 18 months. Many have experienced serious long-term trauma (abuse, death of loved ones, etc). Sadly these incidents are not surprising. I hope the teacher will be okay. They are on the receiving end of so much mistreatment, just like flight attendants, nurses, etc.

Ok but fk you and your kid and anyone else who condones this because of last 18 months.

I’ve seen the video. The kid is obviously the aggressor but when he grabs the teachers device the teacher reacts with pulling back and then shoving. Then they’re rolling and punching. The kid started it but the teacher should’ve just let him snatch the device. Instinctually I get it, your defenses kick in. But you cannot ever ever ever touch a student. I’m a teacher and wouldn’t be surprised if he gets fired. This is one of those things you can’t come back from.

I hope the teacher files criminal charges against the student. That student should be expelled and not allowed back into any Loudon school. As a parent this is very, very upsetting.

Was absolutely not condoning it, but the reality is these will be more commonplace this year. I hope school systems are ready to address underlying student issues and better protect their teachers. They deserve safe work environments.

And the teacher was placed on administrative leave. Damn. The kid struck the teacher’s head several times. There are so many dépraved people in the US. It is sick.

This post is out of line. PP didn't condone anything of the sort.

These incidents are clearly widespread and the root causes really need to be addressed, for everyone’s safety.

the teacher has a right to defend himself and prevent his property from being stollen. This isn't a 4th grader
