So unflattering. She is a pretty girl. Makes her look 50 pounds heavier.

Give the woman a break, I don't think her baby is even 6 months old yet.

I don't think SHE is fat. She has been seen in public since she had the baby and she looked great. This is just an unflattering dress.

She generally has a nice/curvy figure.

I'm glad this thread is back.

No. She doesn’t have that level of engagement this time around. Plus they knocked down her offices so whatever geniuses came up with Be Best are off being best somewhere else.

Looking at that pic though and it's crazy some of you insist she has a supermodel figure. And I say this as someone with a similar figure, which is to say completely average.

I don’t think super model figure but easy to dress figure. No big belly or butt or boobs. Not flat chested. That is like literally the easiest thing to dress — no problem areas to avoid. I used to be thin but was very flat chested so many shirts didn’t fit and there were looks I needed to avoid. Now I have a big menopause belly that is impossible to dress around. Ivanka always had trouble because of her huge implants nothing hung right on her. Usha has none of these problems and could pick something off the rack at brooks brothers or theory and look great.

This outfit is successful whereas Usha's outfit is not because even though the cotton poplin and the satin are a contrast in both texture and color, they have similar weight and similar visual weight. There is a balance- you'll notice the clingier fabric is covering more of her body as well, so the proportions work too. Imagine this outfit with a short skirt- it wouldn't work at all.

Yes, people like Sharon stone are in the advanced class and can break the rules and still look good. The rest of us are still in the basic level class and need to stick to the basic rules. You have to be really good at fashion to pull off something like this, which is why it got so much attention.

I feel like this is a bit dramatic lol.

Oh, yes. Overly dramatic is the rule, not the exception here.

I was being tongue in cheek. But really that’s what makes really fashionable women remarkable. She can combine a cotton button down from Gap or wherever with a couture satin skirt and somehow make it work. For most of us, it’s better to play it a little safe.
