How many field trips has your MCPS Elem School taken so far this year?

. . . and where was the field trip location? Our MCPS elem school kids (3rd & 5th grade) haven't gone on any school field trips yet, and no plans are in sight? Is that odd or is it just me? We are new to mcps

4th grader has done one big field trip and another big field trip planned in May. 6th grader did Outdoor Ed and I think there is another field trip in the Spring.

Our child is in second grade - no field trips so far but there is one planned later this month and I saw a note in the parent bulletin about ones for two other grades. I think the first few months of school are pretty quiet field trip wise.

1st grade. No field trips and none planned for the whole year to my knowledge.

5th grader has been to Mt. Vernon, Newseum, and another museum (can't remember which one). That seems like a lot for one quarter.

All 5th graders go to Strathmore so that should be coming soon. Our 5th grade is raising money for a Baltimore trip in the spring. There may be another local one in there. Normally they do maybe 3 per year.

First grade - 0

Sixth grade - Outdoor Ed scheduled end of Nov, don't know about rest of the year.

I don't remember what they did in 3rd grade, but in 5th grade they all had to go to Mount Vernon, and had other smaller field trips.

5th grade. 3 so far. mt Vernon, Newseum, Strathmpre. Philly later in year

5th grader: Mt Vernon, Strathmore, Newseum

1st grader: pumpkin patch, science center (same location where they do outdoor ed for sixth graders)

4th grade: 1 so far. To the MoCo agricultural reserve.

2nd grader- Museum of Natural History and Strathmore at the end of the month

K- going to the National zoo at the end of the month

Also a W cluster school.

Second grade at a Focus School in Silver Spring. Two so far with another one scheduled for December to the Strathmore.
