How much screen time does your elementary aged child get?

I have a kindergartener and second grader. I tried hard to limit screen time when they were younger but I feel like they are getting more and more screen time as they get older. Right now, they both get to pick one ~20 min show on Netflix each on school nights. On Fridays, they can pick a movie or play video games. On Sat/Sun, they get anywhere from 2-4 hours of ipad/tv/video games depending on weather and activities planned for the day. Altogether, they probably get about 8-10 hours of screen time per week. Wondering how we compare to others.

I have a 1st and 5th grader.

No screens during the week. Weekend mornings they get 2 hours, then later they might get an hour of video games or a movie.

I don't count, because it's not much and the kids are not addicted. But tonight we watched 30 minutes of Shaun the Sheep. Nothing yesterday. The day before maybe they watched one 20 minute TV episode of something. Nothing during last week, not that I'm particularly against it, it just happened like this.

Unlimited as long as other obligations are met. Actual amount varies from day to day depending on our other plans.

My 10 year old son does about 1/2 hour of Minecraft on week days. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Sometimes none. All depends on his mood, whether he wants to play outside or not. I expect that amount to go up as the days get shorter.

About 2-3 hours on weekends. Usually an hour in the morning, being lazy and watching TV. Then he likes the Saturday night shows on Nick. So he could watch a couple of hours that night. No TV really on Sunday evenings.

He's gone through phases. Right now he's really into Minecraft on the computer. I monitor content a lot more than time, because he seems to manage the time well on his own.

Up to 20 minutes before school if he's otherwise all ready to go. Up to 20 minutes before the bedtime routine if his homework is all done. On weekends we don't really count, but it tallies probably 1-2 hours total.

For our second graders our limits are 1 hour per day during the week and 2 hours per day during the weekend. We don't allow electronics or tv before school.

Kindergartener.

About 15 minutes in the AM, after breakfast, and while I'm getting dressed.

An hour in the evening, before bed.

None during the week. A lot on the weekends--maybe 1.5-2 hours each day.

+1

If they can squeeze it in after coming home, having a snack, getting off the bus, doing homework, and activities, playing outside with friends, etc - they. An watch.

1st grader. None during the week. 1-1.5 hours each day on the weekend. I have no idea where folks have so much time for their kids to watch tv - we literally don't have time during the day where we COULD watch more.

Kindergartener: 1 hour a day. Must be educational. Sometimes a movie on the weekend.
