How much screen time does your elementary aged child get?

2nd grader. Unlimited.

Kindergarten and baby. Zero at home. Kindergartener gets an occasional short video at school, which is unnecessary IMHO.

Zero in the car. We do allow movies on planes that have individual screens and also when home very sick since otherwise kid will be go go go and not rest during the day.

It didn't start out as a policy. We were just too busy outside our whatever to fit it in the day. But I'm hoping we have the willpower to keep it up.

Yes really white knuckle it and stick with it. It will make a huge difference.

(It won't at all.)

I'm the terrible mom who has basically let my kindergartener watch tv the entire day today.

2nd grader. No specific time limits, but usually between 0 & 30 minutes on weekdays, and up to 1-1.5 hours on weekends (but sometimes 0 on weekends). I've found that now that it's getting darker earlier, we turn to screens more often during the week (we also have a younger child).

My kids don't use or have iPads/video games. They watch TV, though. I don't limit it. My 8 year old watches maybe a show a day. She doesn't have much interest. My younger child likes TV a lot and will easily watch 4 shows a day.
