The issue is we live in a capitalistic society. It values money. Energy is spent of selling things and it’s easier to sell to the young and naive. There is little respect for elders, because it’s harder to sell to. Thus, we have nurtured naivety. We have entire generations of young adults that believe the world before their birth is irrelevant. So they dismiss anybody that mentions facts. They have been conditioned to be perpetual customers.
