I've been a nanny for celebrities for the past 16 years, in Europe and LA. I can't name names, of course. The kids are waking up from nap soon, so I will reply when I'm off work tonight.

How mean can some of them get? Do they treat you with respect? How involved are some of them with their kids?

Yes

We interviewed several nannies in London who had worked for celebrities. And we met more of them in Los Angeles.

None would ever do this kind of thread, unless they were chronically unemployed.

I worked for a couple families who were pretty awful did not respect me or my time. Treated me very poorly, but I kept my head down, did my work and stayed 2 years each for the reference. I also worked baby nurse jobs for some pretty difficult celebs but at least with those you know it's only short term. But those those jobs (working for very big celebrities) got me the references for my dream job. Current family is amazing.
