So who here went to the ballet coronavirus party?

Agree. I find Louise legitimately interesting and stylish. Louise, come back to DC!

I heard kids whose parents attended are now also COVID positive. Ashley, and the parents who attended, better hope upon hope no one gets really sick as a result of her need for adulation.

omg I am dead, like the nerve signals in Kristin Cecchi’s forehead.

Ugh, you are terrible. Had a play date with her and her son at someone else's house many years ago and she was super nice. And I'm just a regular mom. Yes she's super fit, well accessorized and maintains herself, but don't hate! To each their own.

OK but she’s getting into uncanny valley territory here.

Someone upthread mentioned the LNS/Smith Point days.

Very NWDC that a bar brawl between the Patten brothers and the bouncer wound up with a lawsuit.

Does anybody know what happened to Hollis Pica and Jon Kling? She looked so happy at her engagement party.

That's awful.
Any update on the status of the hospitalized attendee, or whether that was even true?

Unfortunately this is true

This isn't just about avoiding acute illness or staying out of the ICU. We have no idea what the longterm effects of this virus will be, and the data so far isn't good. Remember that zoonotic viruses like SARS-CoV2 (and SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV) are pathogens that haven't been mutating in the human population for centuries or even decades. What we know about viruses like Varicella, EBV, HIV, RSV, Rhinoviruses, etc., could fill an ocean compared to what we know about this recent one. I encourage everyone to read this article below. Viruses are sneaky bastards, and this is one you want to avoid at all costs.

LNS was created for the Georgetown Scene and it was basically a forum to capture the ridiculousness of our lives during our 20s. Lots of gossip, Smith Point, dudes looking for their Barbour jackets, and general hilarity and mockery.

I know several DC cave-dweller families. Their spending habits are on a continuum, but they all share in common the habit of avoiding the spotlight.

I noticed that after a lot of stagnation or one per week increases, the area including Spring Valley has been recording steady increases in confirmed positives over the past several days. I wonder if this was the root.

Is this a joke? If you're being sarcastic, then it's funny. If you are legitimately a classist person, then I feel sorry for you. I can't imagine being proud of having money, as if that somehow confers value onto you as a human. I mean, imagine how low you must feel about yourself if your self worth and your financial worth are intertwined. How shallow and sad a human you'd have to be. I personally pride myself on being able to relate to people from every socioeconomic status and cultural and ethnic background. That has brought me the most joy in my life. If I only hung out with people who had in-ground pools growing up, I'd have missed out on almost every interesting and intelligent person I know.

Anyway, just disgusted at the snobbery of bobos on here.

Not PP. but it’s a joke - I reads like a brush up from LNS - they were really bad pick up lines or put downs meant to be funny

Of course FB would have been on the SP list. Except it’s no secret Bo Blair hated fritz Made sense when FB and RL combined forces to create their restaurant brand. I’m proud of them. And also loved the ridiculous LNS days 😂

Just looked him up on the site you gave and in 2018, he was at $384,625. He's the highest paid person at NIH.

This whole thread is insane. Amazing to see how grown adults are reduced to seventh graders when they can post things anonymously. I know we are all stir crazy from COVID but jeez...
