The BlueAnon set are really going crazy with this one.

To be fair to BlueAnons, there some smoke here, and we have a long history of cover ups in this country. Its so crazy most people don't even think about the Route 91 shooting any more, when there was so many fishy details and unanswered questions.

What smoke?

Did you miss the whole CIA connection bit?

Put down the crack pipe.

The shooter's work with the CIA's "zero team" in Afghanistan is in the WaPo today.

I worked for many years very close to the corner where the guardsmen were shot and took the metro at the station where they were shot. That is not a unsafe area.

There was ONE incident of ONE individual shooting at guardsmen. Why does this require 500 additional guardsmen in DC and the need for DC police to patrol with the NG?

BREAKING:
D.C. police to begin patrolling with National Guard after fatal attack

Troops patrolling in D.C. will be paired with local law enforcement personnel, at least temporarily, in the wake of the Wednesday attack that killed one National Guard member and critically injured another, according to an email obtained by The Washington Post and two D.C. police officials. If enacted on a long-term basis, the change would significantly shift the way National Guard members have worked with law enforcement in the District since their arrival.

I once read copy cat events average 11 days after the initial event.

The "incident" with the CIA trained former soldier in a totally safe area was probably planned in order to bring the 500 additional guardsmen in. Bet they didn't expect the former soldier to get captured or get wounded.

RIP Sarah. We are all praying for your family.

I think you mean had the Afghan not assassinated her, she’d still be alive.

If Trump hadn't rescinded his and his family's legal status, he would not have been so desperate. Trump's actions have horrible consequences.

True. And if Trump hadn’t placed NG in DC serving no actual purpose - just for his propaganda footage - she wouldn’t have been killed. The shooter is responsible but so is Trump and his series of horrible, selfish actions.

Actually NG has accomplished a lot to reduce crime. Memphis is a better example than DC, but it’s just not true that they haven’t accomplished anything.

Sincere question: how do you know? Are there firm stats on this?

And even if you can prove that they "accomplished a lot to reduce crime," what is the long-term plan? Have troops on the streets of blue cities permanently? I mean, Covid and the shutdowns lowered certain types of crimes significantly but no one wants to go through that again.

Sincere answer: you clearly wouldn’t be persuaded by any data because you don’t want to be, but if you were open to the truth, you’d know by now.

Long term is a better question. I am ok with NG staying in Memphis as long as it takes, though. We don’t have to just live with sky high murder rates forever. We can do things.

DP to add, this is such a cop out answer. Democrats love data; Republicans generally run on rhetoric. If you have data, post it. Otherwise you just sound like you are putting up a front.

You know what I want to know? What worked to drive the DC homicide rate down in 2011-2014-ish? All time low of 88 in 2012 in a Democratic run city, no NG present.

Golly, I wonder when responsibility for juvenile justice transitioned from the Mayor to an elected Attorney General?

The waitlist for American families is six months to three years.

American elderly, disabled, single moms, & veterans are pushed aside while Afghan migrants are given priority.

How did this POS repay America? By taking the lives of our American troops.

The wife and five kids need to be deported pronto.
The POS who killed our NG soldier will be tried for capital murder and hopefully get the death sentence.
Time to thoroughly vet all those Afghans that Biden brought in unvetted. If they cannot be thoroughly vetted, deport them.
Enough of this nonsense.

Again, asylum approval was granted by the Trump administration

Worked on the ground keeping Trump’s troops safe in his country while Trump increased troops in his country only to pull out and leave him vulnerable to death.

Is this supposed to be some sort of gotcha? The people approving these are career officers navigating policies set forth by multiple administrations.

This is the problem. Time to start cleaning house and get rid of people in these agencies who seem to have agendas.

No, these are verifiable data analytics and facts that deserve exploration. It’s like the statistical anomalies in voting from 2024 that are making their way through the courts.

Whereas, the maga marks will believe whatever Russian propaganda or heritage foundation BS gets pushed out, no matter how ridiculous.

Morons: SEE MEEMAW, THEY ARE THE SAME. Shut the blinds, the trans vaccination squads are probably out in the swamp!

Why do people always assume MAGA folks are rednecks? Look at the Trump admin, the billionaire toadies, the congressional acolytes. Are all of those “meemaw” people?

Statistically speaking:

Rednecks or maga
Those that are not rednecks are under educated.
Those that are educated are highly religious, which makes you susceptible to to believing in conspiracy theories.

I’m maga, highly educated and not religious

What is strange is his neighbors say the 29 year old shooter has a 14 year old son. Is this really his son or a relative he just added to his list of children? Or is the shooter really 29? Is he really a person who worked with the CIA of could it be an older brother or cousin using his name?

In a chaotic withdrawal from a country with a lack of official government documents how can anyone really know who has come.
