Because they've long lost their most principled members. I don't see any of them speaking out against the worst actions of the Trump admin, do you?

So where are the most principled Republicans now? Why are they so quiet? They’re just watching and shaking their heads in the peanut gallery? They have a voice. They need to use it.

They retired before 2015.

Goldberg never should have stayed on that thread to eavesdrop. His actions were completely unprofessional. He needs to be prosecuted so completely that he and his family are ruined financially, educationally and professionally no matter what the actual final decision in court.

To those supposed military people complaining that they were exposed and “endangered”: GROW UP. Do your jobs right and maintain OpSec so that you have nothing to worry about beyond killing the enemies.

You forgot the /s.

DCUM found out before he did.

I checked his Truth Social tweets and he was giddy over canceling security clearances for people he had already cancelled. He’d forgotten. He’s not running the country.

Signal is permissible to use for work purposes provided that any decisions made are also recorded through formal channels.

Recording “decisions made” is not actually the standard for retaining government records.

Huh? I'm not part of the military, but when bombs are being dropped on a country, and the country doesn't know about it and American soldiers aren't involved, how is that not "classified"?

Trump will just order it isn't classified. He gets to decide. Great circular arguments.

So then the Atlantic could have published the bombing plans online?

I thought I saw that he canceled Letitia James' security clearance again. She didn't clearance to cancel the first time, let alone the second.

Anonymous wrote:So are the Democrats not doing anything? All I am reading about is a lot of outrage but is anyone doing anything?

If not, what would it take for people to do something? Another 9/11?

Another 9/11 is definitely where we’re headed. The GOP is such a disaster.

The real question is why the congressional Republicans, who have all the power on the Hill right now, are not doing anything. In Nixon's day, it was the Republicans who pushed him out of office.

Yep. Now that none of the other 5 eyes will share any intel with us.

Yep. Apparently.

The administration did this to intimidate Canada and Europe. There was a basketball team who used to run through their offense instead of the pregame layup line. They did it to intimidate the opponent, showing their offense because the opponent wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. That team ended up winning 85-90% of their games consistently.

That’s all this is. Democrats need to calm down, take a deep breath, and figure out how they’re going to stay out of jail.

Your use of sports allegories indicates that you think on a tenth grade level. I bet you ARE in the Trump administration.

Maybe Karoline Leavitt is on DCUM?

So there should be no issue at all in the journalist publishing the conversation in full.

So what you’re saying is you either didn’t read the onboarding paperwork and training documentation/videos that everyone is required to complete OR you failed to understand them. Which is it? Failure to read, non comprehension, or incompetence from the highest levels of our security establishment?
