Here is how to transfer to any high school in the area

I'm actually wondering how many will withdraw and re-enroll at their PWC or local school. Its not fun schlepping a kid back and forth on your own transportation all the way to Hayfield and he can't even play football there.

Doubt it or the Fairfax Times would have been all over it

Right, but a page or so back a couple of posters said there is talk that the Woodson coach was fired, too.

Nah, he was white.

Win a season and championship with a team of neighborhood kids who didn't move there to be part of a supersquad and then you can claim success.

+1
Would like to hear what the School Registrar has to say about enrolling out of county/state football "students"

Yeah the coach didn’t register the new students either.

Nah, he was white.

Typical white supremacist move, try to hide any element of racism.

So is this what happened? There were 15 players personally recruited by this coach to come play for him. Some of the kids legitimately moved into Hayfield boundary (6 of the 15 transfers). The other 9 did not move but claimed they were homeless, so FCPS could not check their residency? That would explain why FCPS would say they were all legitimately enrolled and refuse to answer any questions, while VHSL would say the 9 "homeless" players did not in fact bona fide move.

That's a logical explanation for the discrepancy.

Or there were 15 players who decided to follow their coach to his new school to play for him. Some of the kids' entire family moved into Hayfield boundary and gave up their old residence (6 of the 15 transfers). The other 9 did not. They moved the football playing child only or moved a parent and the football playing child and did not give up their old residence (which FCPS allows but VHSL does not). That would explain why FCPS would say they were all legitimately enrolled while VHSL would say the 9 players did not in fact have residency.

I follow some of the 9 ineligible on Twitter and they’ve been remarkably silent. Someone will break rank soon.

Any update on this?

Two Woodson football coaches have been fired.

And what about the South Lakes basketball team last year? They had a few kids transfer in that aren’t zoned for South Lakes and were important pieces to last years state championship team. Some will likely be playing on this years team which will be a top contender for this years state championship as well. Will there be all the public accusations and investigations into that team that’s coached by a WHITE coach?

Here is how bad FCPS or VHSL or whoever's paperwork is. This was a few years ago and I won't name the schools, but I'm aware of a situation where a family with a star athlete lived with a "family friend" in a different high school boundary. The only reason this one stands out to me is that this athlete had close in age siblings who were good athletes, but not good enough to transfer to a more competitive school. These kids from the same family were going to different high schools at the same time, both within FCPS, and somehow no one caught on to it.

FCPS does NOT allow this.

Ask anyone who has tried to do something similar after moving or for academic reasons.

Poor kids.

Can you imagine being raised by adults who uproot your life but can't be bothered to read the rules?
