Maybe he went to do something but was prevented by the conservatorship. They currently have legal control of him. They lied to him: “ They explained to me that it means pretty much the exact same thing as ‘adoptive parents,” |
Umm. No we do not. We have no idea. |
Sure. They had no interest in negotiating his NFL contracts but yes, I'm sure now they're so interested in something a retired ex-NFL lineman is doing. Why did he suddenly notice they have legal control? |
You’re joking right? He was a foster kid who was desperate for a family and the adults he trusted and were offering a “stable family” LIED to him about what a conservatorship is and lied to him that they couldn’t adopt him since he was 18. He innocently displays his ignorance in the book, but also says he didn’t care all he knew was he was going to be part of the family ![]() Who knows what the great awakening was. Maybe growing up, life experiences, not feeling treated like a man actual family member for almost 2 decade. Maybe it was becoming a father himself. Maybe someone read the book and finally said “uhhh that’s not what a conservatorship is”. Hell maybe it was the Free Britney movement. But it’s not hard to understand that an 18 year old foster kid didn’t know what the definition of conservatorship was. |
He hasn't been 18 in a really long time. |
So he’s been planning this since at least 2011? Why wouldn’t they terminate the conservatorship at any time? Why would they keep legal power over him if they haven’t spoke in 10 years. Why have they still not done that? |
Because clearly it was a non issue. It was all a con so Michael and the Tuohys could pull one over on the NCAA. That's it. It served it's purpose. He's been estranged from them for about a decade. How do you have control over someone you're estranged with? What is suddenly going on that is making this an urgent issue? Something doesn't add up. |
They’ve had legal control this whole time. Maybe he wanted to do a different book and would need to get their permission. Could be anything. He just thought he was their “adopted son” because that is what they told him. Turns out they have had legal power over him ever since. He did not know/understand that. Because they lied to him. |
They lied to him for decades. |
They don't even talk to him anymore. They haven't talked to him in over a decade. |
1. Oh so libel is legal now? And I didn’t say he gave them money, I stated multiple times that it’s not just money. It’s about attention. 2. Neither of us know exactly how the conservatorship was used. We’ll see what comes out in court. There was SOME benefit for the POS’ that motivated them to carry out this scam. I don’t understand the amount of people on this board who are so okay with unnecessary conservatorships. Gross. |
He’s a liar looking for a payday. I’d kill to have 16 m in the bank as he does. I want to make excuses for him but can’t and I do not believe for one moment that the family threw him under the bus. Maybe the parents are selfish pricks as evidenced by their other sons financial comments, but they were already wealthy and the. Sold their company for 200 m. This will not end well for him, his reputation will be ruined. Such a sad story |
LOL wait you actually believe THAT bs but you reach for your little loop holes to invalidate them scamming and exploiting a poor and vulnerable foster kid? You don’t need a conservatorship to get recruited to ole miss 🤣🤣 |

You do if you're living with a big named booster. |
