A great example of this is Husel’s description on their Insta “6x USA FH National Indoor Tournament Champions (u10, u12,u14, u16, u19). USA National Club of the Year Finalists”. What a joke, most of those wins and club nomination is from like 2019. Some unknown parent might actually think those are good results. |
True^^^ |
Wrong- National club of the year was for this yr |
No, it wasn't. |
WRONG - The finalists for National Club of the Year - named in Dec. 2023 - were: Charlotte Ambush, Kansas City Field Hockey, Long Island Starz, PA Revolution and winner Needham Youth Field Hockey. It’s on the USA Field Hockey website. |
A lot of people seem to forget that Husel Coach took the majority of Rampage’s club to start Husel, leaving behind single digit number of goalies and field players. That was the same winter season Husel won NITs in 3 different age groups primarily with Rampage trained players and because of those big indoor nabbed the finalist nomination for club of the year. Fact - Rampage got robbed by Husel. |
Rampage was a sinking ship anyways. Owner moved out of VA and was going to leave it to some rando. Was also bias and only really took Westfield players and players from other surrounding high schools that did not threaten Westfield's ability to win regionals and go to states. |
The Husel coach also has no high school ties. Rampage director was also the head coach at Westfield. Conflict of interest. |
The “rando” was the Husel Coach - negotiations fell through for her to buy Rampage. So she just started her own club and took almost all of the Rampage players. |
+1 |
Uh the Husel coach’s second in command (also a long-time Rampage coach) is the HC at Fairfax High School. Big conflict of interest and club roster filled with many Fairfax players for years. |
The first question I want to ask when I see NIT Champs is, “What pool?” |
I mean yeah I would start my own club too if negotiations fell through. Thats business! |
Haha, Husel is all about Fairfax with a Coach conflict. Don’t expect your kid to take a corner if you’re not from fairfax, that’s how they get good at it, only playing balls on corners to their kids |
That’s not what happened |
