See the pretzels Kessler twists himself into in order to call Biden a liar.

The “liberal New York Times” did the same thing when Pelosi won the speakership by the same vote as Paul Ryan, but she had “significant defections” while Ryan had “overwhelming support.”

And the media still obsesses about white men who voted for Obama and then Trump. There are other voters out there to talk to, FFS.

“Amazing how the media just flat out ignored this story [about Trump’s dementia] for over a year until Nikki Haley mentioned it, and then it became an important piece of news because a Republican said so.”

This is no left wing media in this country. Lots of corporate outlets like MSNBC. Those will push “moderate” democrats but nit really left wing or progressives.

MSNBC definitely leans left but they are corporate entity so completely alienating the right doesn't make sense. Most right or left wing extreme media is online not on TV.

It’s not that they push hard Left, it’s that they have been screaming about Trump for 7 years now. EVERY problem is his fault. Day after day. Trump isn’t perfect but his supporters are tired of the lies & exaggerations.

You guys aren’t actually aware of anything. What you call “lies and exaggerations” are usually just the prelude to the true story about Trump. He’s worse. Like when he campaigned on “locking up” Clinton for alleged mishandling of top secret documents (which she didn’t do) and then not only did he mishandle documents while in office, but he also flat out stole thousands of them and some have still never been found. Like that. That’s not a lie or an exaggeration, that’s barely scratching the enormity of Trump’s crimes. And that’s just one of his crimes.

I can’t quite figure out why these terrible right wing journos think they’d be protected if the GOP came back to power. Why do they do the GOP’s bidding in a million tiny, window-shifting ways?

Go look at the front page of Wapo. Currently it reads: “Trump is preparing for a trade war with China.” Not “candidate wants to return to trade war with China” or anything that indicates that he’s not in the White House. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2024/01/27/trump-china-trade-war/

Oh, the conservative corporate media wants Trump back sooooo bad.

With Americans losing complete trust in the mainstream media, "The New York Times lost $30-40 million in 2023, cutting 74 jobs; WaPo lost $100 million, cutting 240 jobs; The LA Times just laid off 115 journalists—22% of its newsroom. The Atlantic is still unable to turn a profit, and NBC just slashed 75 jobs,"
@ggreenwald
notes.

NOTE: Nobody is rejoicing over this, but when people lose trust in you, you can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.

It truly is bizarre. Why does the New York Times play these games? They behave like they want it to be a horse race but then refuse to accept the consequences. They treat so many Republican scandals and weaknesses with kid gloves, they go on blast over the Dem ones, like "Butter Emails" and never learn.

And yes, the right wing WILL go after the New York Times - and already has, for decades... whether Mark Levin (who calls them the "New York Slimes") or going all the way back to Rush Limbaugh et cetera.

There seems to be so much dumb leadership in corporate media these days.

The fact that you think the NY Times is "right wing" is hilarious.

when the people covering the news are the news

Why would OAN have this information and why would they pass it on to Sidney Powell?
