[twitter]https://x.com/brent_peabody/status/1749956408550854692?s=61&t=I7ZozTDGmPOsC7cmSRxwgA[/twitter] The “liberal New York Times” did the same thing when Pelosi won the speakership by the same vote as Paul Ryan, but she had “significant defections” while Ryan had “overwhelming support.”
I can’t quite figure out why these terrible right wing journos think they’d be protected if the GOP came back to power. Why do they do the GOP’s bidding in a million tiny, window-shifting ways?
It truly is bizarre. Why does the New York Times play these games? They behave like they want it to be a horse race but then refuse to accept the consequences. They treat so many Republican scandals and weaknesses with kid gloves, they go on blast over the Dem ones, like "Butter Emails" and never learn. And yes, the right wing WILL go after the New York Times - and already has, for decades... whether Mark Levin (who calls them the "New York Slimes") or going all the way back to Rush Limbaugh et cetera. There seems to be so much dumb leadership in corporate media these days.
