Flat tire due to nail on Quincy Street NE across the street from LAMB

Anonymous
Two times this week, I've had to take my car in to the shop due to nails in my tires. Anyone else have this problem? If this happens again, I will report it to the cops. More importantly, are there any other places to park that might be better? Thanks in advance.

That sucks. Is there a house under construction over there?

I'm guessing you're just having a run of bad luck. Quincy St was always a safe / good place to park (kid finished at LAMB last soring).

But please do be mindful of the residents' driveways. Too many LAMB parents routinely blocked neighbors in, rather than park another few yards away.

How do you know it isn't happening at your house?

Theres probably a house being flipped in the area. That happens to us to(not at lamb, but near our house).

I had two last year. Very frustrating.

I know it's not happening at my house because I park my car in our garage. Also, after it happened the first time, I got a little suspicious about it because there isn't any construction on Quincy.

I never park on quincy, I prefer Otis

Why do you prefer Otis? Isn't there a huge field separating Otis and LAMB?

I park on Perry because I have a newborn. The parking situation is out of control these days. I wonder if it's the expansion of the campus.

Ben, have you considered that it might be the construction near LAMB? I pass three heavy duty construction sites at pickup.

I drive through the neighborhood to get to Quincy. So I seriously doubt it is due to any construction sites since I never pass any. I talked to some of the residents and they told me that the last 2-3 weeks have been bad for them as their cars have been broken into. Thankfully, that hasn't happened to me, yet.

Are you saying you think someone is deliberating harming the tires of people who park in the neighborhood?

I think that's possible. I don't know why this would have happened twice in the same week. I am considering parking on a different street from here on out. If this continues to happen, I'll make sure I keep you all updated. This is very frustrating, though.

Someone slashed my tire last year. Would not be surprised it this was the same person. They created a hole on the side, requiring replacement.

My two back tires were slashed last week. I was parked on Quincy, too.

I've heard about people's cars being broken into recently. Is this only happening on Quincy street or is this a common thing in this neighborhood?
