Why don't we ban the burqa?

Anonymous
It's a dangerous camouflage and there isn't even mention of the 'burqa' in the Quran.
It was created by men to enslave "their" women.

There are a lot of Western/American clothing items and practice whose purpose it to objectify or exploit women.

If you're going to argue against it, the dangerous camouflage reason would be the least hypocritical.

Also, are you dumb, OP? Not a lot of burqas around here.

I doubt you know the difference between a burqa, hijab and niqab, or even a kaffiyeh for that matter.

How about the other end of the spectrum?
Why don't we ban the string bikini...thongs...push up bras...nudie magazines...half naked models selling paint thinner...etc.

I don't recall our terrorists wearing burqas. I'm sure it happened somewhere in the world, but more people have been killed by men in white sheets than women in black sheets, and we still allow those.

Great idea. Let's ban yarmulkes, crosses and bindis, too.

God bless America.

I think we need more burqas - especially in flyover country and walmart.

PP has given you some great vocab - now go look them up. I think I have seen one burqa in my ten years living in this area. More niqab and obviously a ton of hijab. But burqas? No.

There are some around. I used to see a lady on the green line wearing a burqa.
