HTX just got awarded a second GA franchise, they won't be going anywhere this year. The public announcement from GA was on 3/31.

Galaxy bailed on ECNL boys 1 year ago to go MLS Next 2, I don't think they are in the good graces of ECNL, and Eclipse just took a lot of their female players at tryouts.

Don’t think HTX is the answer. At least not yet. Two ECNL clubs nearby do well enough and rely too strongly on the development of HTX u littles moving over by U15. They’ve not accepted the RL pathway in the past, so having two GA teams, they definitely wouldn’t.

STA has already announced tryouts for GA. Obviously things can change (see CISC).

TH is not likely due to the history of DA/ECNL.

RL pathway = USYS NL with a new name and marketing team (ECNL).

Genuine question… What is the backstory of DA/ECNL that would prohibit TH from being included but did not keep all the other DA founding clubs out of ECNL? What makes TH so different? You would that it couldn’t be that bad if their boys play ECNL.

No problem, I have no need for you to "buy it". It is the experience of a lot of people, so not a sour grapes from any one individual. People have to "take it" a bit as they can't exactly up and move to another league, but it is real. Go have honest conversations with people and you can find out, if you chose not to, thats your choice

I've heard her speak and have spoken to her a few times. I've also seen her interact with a lot of coaches and players and have never seen any of this messaging. I do think we need more female coaches in general and I have heard her say that. If you interpret that to be anti-male I don't know what to tell you.

The ECNL RL commissioner is a female and a lot of the league staff are female (can find names/listings online), so I think they have a decent job. Perfect? no, but nothing ever is.
