Right of center: a long slow death

Anonymous
So after Hillary wins, it will be 12 years of democratic rule--and we may as well extend that to 16 years because there's no way Paul "milquetoast" Ryan is going to win...

16 years of griping and crying about liberals, radicals, and socialists transforming America and "destroying" the country.
Republicans, conservatives, right wingers...You had 16 years to reverse this, to SAVE us! Despite an economy on the brink, our first Black president (Unfathomable a generation ago), and our first (far from perfect) female president, you couldn't get it done. Your party failed.

You're good Americans, you won't root for this country to fail so you can have a "told ya so" moment.

So... What's next for you?

I would argue that the last 7 1/2 and whatever Clinton manages to pull out are all right of center. The most controversial think Obama was able to implement was Bob Dole and Mitt Romney's healthcare plan.

Exactly. There are many angry people this year slamming their phones down on the pollsters. They have no idea what's coming.

Clinton is divisive, and I wish the Ds could have gone with someone else. Trump isn't exactly divisive, he is equal opportunity insulitng and offensive, attacking his "own" party more often than the Ds.

Clinton does have a history of bipartisanship, collegiality. Possibly she'll be able to bring some of that back to DC and politics. Trump really has no history of playing well wiith others, so there's no reason to think he would start now.

Sigh... You mean those angry middle-aged white men at trump rallies? Or like the ones he spoke to in Milwaukee last week, when he tried to court black voters?

Keep drinking the kool-aid. Its that mentality that caused ya'll to squander the last 8 years, when ya'll should have Been grooming a strong, legitimate candidate.

If you don't think Trump is divisive, you must be on drugs. Attacking Republicans does not make him less divisive. It means he's divisive even among his own ranks.

Anyone who doesn't know what's coming is a delusional wingnut who spends too much time on sites like Drudge snd Breitbart. The GOP is already field testing their "Plan B" which is to complain as a check on Hillary. An Ryan has referred to Hillary as President Clinton. You can't run a campaign with no field organization and no cash. The RNC raised only $27 million last month, most of which was earmarked to pay for the convention.

If she's divisive with the voters, how can she be bipartisan with Congress?

And I don't know why people waste breath on Trump, tbh. It's not worth it.

Btw the two, we have Dumb and Dangerous.

Exactly. Why do you think Ted Cruz accepted the invite to speak at the RNC? Why do you think Tom Cotton (who most people couldn't pick out of a lineup) is suddenly on every Sunday show? Why have many Republcan leaders shifted focus to congressional seats?

Because it's over. Stick a fork in the GOP. It's done.
