I just knew someone would say that. Difference is they are celebrities and in the public eye and make their money being in the public. It's their whole schtick despite saying they want privacy. Fair game. If you want to be a private citizen then go do that. M&H are throwing spaghetti at a wall at this point to see what sticks - no discernible game plan other than "I'm famous" give me money for charity.

That’s different. They had very tangible negative impact on my life and the lives of people I care about. Meghan Markle has a charity and she wrote a kids book. The hate is bizarre.

We actually know quite a bit about H&M because they have intentionally entered the public sphere. You can’t do interviews with Oprah and then have any credibility when you complain that people are talking about you. Also, H&M are enormously wealthy and privileged - more so than any of us posters; commenters criticizing them are “punching up,” which I don’t think is very problematic.
