Tell me about Centreville

Anonymous
We' looking to buy a townhome for about $400000 and considering Centreville. I work in Fairfax and DH currently works at home, but may need to commute to Tysons in the future. Please tell me more about living there, what you like and dislike, best neighborhoods, schools?
Thanks!

It's one long sprawl with no Center and no Ville.

We live there. Good schools, shopping nearby, easy to get on 66, Fairfax County Parkway, and not too bad to the toll road and Dulles airport is close. Great Korean BBQ places, movie theatre, parks, winery nearby.

+1

If you're going to be commuting to Tysons then you'll have to take something else besides 66 or you'll go crazy.

PP again. After moving here, at least in my neighborhood, it seems as if everyone has two dogs and a motorcycle.

Decent schools. Sucks otherwise.

You should totally look at zip code 22033.
It's fair lakes area of fairfax. Much better than centerville and would be a better commute
Town homes and condos available too.

+2.

You'll get a lot of people on this board hating on it because it's so "far" but it's perfectly nice if you don't have to commute to DC.

More expensive, though, and most people are living this far out because of money.

You might also consider Reston and Herndon, as well as fairfax chantilly (20151)

We live in Little Rocky Run, a huge planned community in Centreville/Clifton. It's a very family oriented neighborhood--the elementary school (Union mill) is in the neighborhood, we have multiple pools, walking trails, tennis courts, playgrounds etc. There is a convenient shopping center w a giant, Starbucks, etc. The townhouse section of the neighborhood is great and part of it is a very short walk to restaurants, stores, etc.

Lots of Korean population in Centreville. Mostly concentrated in Centre Ridge.

Union Mill is the best elementary school, Centreville is good also. Centre Ridge elementary has a lot of ESL students.

Bull Run winery is awesome. Korean food is awesome.

We live here also. The uncanny thing about the 2 dogs is that it's always a big dog/little dog combo.

Too many Koreans and Indians. Next Annandale. Stay away.

We moved to Centreville a few months ago and love it!!! Good schools, easy to get to shopping and not too diverse yet. My DH works downtown and I work in Tysons Corner. I go in at odd hours so it's not that bad. It's all worth being in a family oriented, safe place.

Let me guess: you have a Trump sticker on your car. And/or a confederate flag.
