Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

While it’s a step up from Frogmore, it’s a far cry from her best life. Her best life would be starring roles in major films that catapult her to A list status, a long list of A list friends, adoring fans cheering her on wherever she goes, favorable news articles, the Queen and Kate begging for her friendship. Instead, the world saw Harry groveling to Iger for a role, their royal departure was a disaster and made the public more sympathetic to the Queen, and the public adoration she had during her wedding period when we were all excited about the match but didn’t really know the real Meghan yet has turned. Meghan ans Harry have lost the public’s respect and won’t be getting it back any time soon.

Just browsed through the photos of the new Montecito digs. Seems heavenly. Also sounds like they got a good deal on it. Plus they only put down about $5 mil, so they didn't tie up a ton of cash in it.

I will say it seems like a lonely place to have an only child, especially during a pandemic. I'm sure they'll have live in help, but looking at the little playground on the grounds, I thought how weird it would be to be the lone child who uses it. I hope they have another kid just to give Archie someone who will understand what it's like to live that weird life.

I think under better circumstances, Harry and William would have been able to raise their kids near each other and reduce some of that loneliness. But I just don't think the inherent dysfunction fo the royals combined with the ruthlessness of the tabloids was ever going to work for Meghan and Harry. Even if they'd stayed in the UK and within the Firm, I think they would have been miserable and thus so would Archie. This is making the best of it, even though it's not ideal either.

Does anybody have a good link with photos of the mansion? They've been scrubbed from all the listings I tried when I googled the address.

Well if you believe the Daily Mail you'll believe anything. They are not exactly known for the accuracy of their reporting.

They’re so gross. Biting the hand that feeds them with that sleazy book while accepting money from Daddy Prince Charles to buy a luxurious mansion. Couple of spoilt teenagers, except they’re practically middle-aged.

I wouldn't mind having the house and the hair, to be honest! But the rest sounds like more hassle than it's worth.

Anonymous wrote:My take is that first and foremost Harry desired a family of his own, and will make them his priority, always.

That being said, his royal standing was a gilded cage to be sure, but he had decided to use his platform to put good in the world and connect to people.

Hiding away in an L.A. mansion is not what he wanted, but the wife and son with him are what he wanted most.

He is making a compromise that probably feels right some days and misguided on others. For someone who never got to make choices of his own, this is new territory.

I think they made the best choice for their child and future children. The British press were relentless against Meghan in the short 2 years she was resident in the U.K. and they had a terrible track record with protecting Diana or Fergie. Beatrice and Eugenie were also cannonfodder in the 90s.

This way the Sussex children are raised in a safe and happy environment without the pressure of being torn apart every time they step outside in Britain.

I'm so happy for them.

Sussex children? Doubt there will be any more.

DP. I would bet big money that she is already pregnant again.
