Cohen Testifying

So -- if the President were a tax cheat, charity cheat, campaign finance law violator, browbeater of anyone who had legitimate negative information about him (like hideous college grades or that he committed adultery several times), serial liar about trying to make millions with a deal involving Putin, obviously psyched to get stolen information about the opposition and to hold a meeting about "adoption" [air quotes here] ... you would be good with all that, as long as there was no absolutely crystal testimony from Cohen today that specifically said he "colluded" with Russia. Free pass on everything else, huh? Lord help us.

Yep, this exactly.

Republicans have made a Faustian bargain with the devil. They think getting their taxes and judges is a fair trade for supporting a conman, crook, and liar who has dragged the country down to into the sewer with his uncivil discourse and even threatens our civic institutions with his amoral stance on the rule of law and rejection of democratic ideals.

DP, not to mention the degradation of our foreign policy to match almost 1 for 1 what Putin would do.

Cohen offered NOTHING to show collusion.

When will the left give it up?

Kellyanne, darling, get off this "collusion" crap. Collusion is not a crime, so even if there were evidence of collusion, it wouldn't matter, because it's not a crime!!

But Cohen offered evidence that Trump engaged in many other crimes. If you can't see or hear that, you are blind, deaf and dumb. Probably mostly dumb.

Yes, this is the irony threaded through every single attack by GOP today on Cohen's character!! It was funny! Those GOP morons kept bringing up his lies, when they were lies made at the behest of Trump!! He was lying for Trump!! Their man!! Their beloved Trump!! Cohen is going to jail partly because he lied FOR Trump.

I guess the GOP thinks the public is too stupid to even understand the concept of irony.

Also did anyone else notice that not a single Republican gave a defense of Trump's character? No one stood up and said, how dare you call Trump a liar and a crook, he's as honest as the day is long, he would never do anything shady.

Because they knew everyone would laugh.

Esquire. LOL
Charlie Pierce. LOL even harder.

He’s a gifted writer and thinker who has been a true newspaperman for decades.

He'd do better delivering them than writing in them.

How old are you, sonny? 12? You think and write like a pre-pubescent child.

Love how you believe the parts of his testimony that serve your narrative.

Kind of blows the whole dossier narrative, eh?

Except for all the parts that have already been corroborated.

Is it true that he is a convicted liar?

Could he be trying for a reduced prison sentence through his congressional "testimony?"

Cohen mentioned this today.

Even the GOP can't defend the indefensible.

Everyone knows Trump is a liar.

Even Trump shill Rick Santorum said this about Trump tonight on CNN:
“Well, I guess the point I was trying to make to Carl is, the president doesn’t tell the truth about a lot of things fairly consistently,” Santorum attempted. “And so the fact that he’s not telling the truth about Russia fairly consistently, at least in the eyes of people around here, why is that any different?”

I do not know who was worse. Jim Jordan whose law school write up on Wikipedia is positively laughable. Plus, you know the sex scandal at OSU. What a gasbag.

Clay Higgins? The marble mouthed guy who can barely speak English and who once filmed a campaign ad at Auschwitz?

Mark Meadows? What a douche bag.

The black woman who was put on display as a worker of Trump's who would not have worked for him if he were a racist? Might as well have paraded Diamond and Silk out there too. SO DISGUSTING.

The Republican party is no more under this mad man. So sick.

I cannot abide anyone who supports this administration. They are either criminals, mentally ill or simply dumb. So sad.
