No. She said she didn't remember but believes her friend. That is not the 'complete opposite'

I think it was just an email from her lawyer?

There was no Leland letter. There was merely a statement from her lawyer that she does not RECALL the event. Kav fudged the truth on that and said that exonerates him. That just seems blatantly dishonest to me and I don't see him being genuine with that twisting of her words.

+1 Just another dishonest attempt by the GOP to smear Ford.

Not to mention that she affirmatively said she believes her friend.

The Republican devil's bargain...
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/28/opinion/kavanaugh-hearing-republicans.html?action=click&module=Trending&pgtype=Article®ion=Footer&contentCollection=Trending

If you put a man in the White House who openly boasts of being a sexual predator, a president credibly accused by more than a dozen people of misconduct, you are no friend of women and the good men who love them.

If your rallies are highlighted by “lock her up” chants against a person who has never been charged with a crime, you cannot wrap yourself in due process or presumption of innocence.

If your men of God, led by the Rev. Franklin Graham, say attempted rape is not a crime because “if it was true, these are two teenagers, and she said no and he respected that,” you need a new faith in which to cover your hypocrisies.

Story follows character, as the Greeks knew, and what we’re seeing now with the Bonfire of Republican Vanities is the predictable outcome of those who enabled the amoral presidency of Donald Trump.

LOL

Lindsey Graham to Kavanaugh at hearing: "if you lived a good life people would recognize it, like The American Bar Association has"

The American Bar Association: "Delay Kavanaugh until FBI investigates assault allegations"

But he voted for Gorsuch. That lends more credence to his stance.

Let's suppose they do an all out complete investigation, witnesses, perjury on the line etc and it turns out he didn't do it.

Then what?

Then he gets the job.
Why is this so hard to understand. Really?

I think the real question is suppose the FBI does an investigation and no one can remember enough to corroborate anything. Then what?

Then he gets confirmed without a cloud over his head.

Trump will withdraw him before it comes to that.

Ridiculous. They "believe" them both, and bought the WH concocted story that she was attached by a Kav lookalike. Again, don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. They can't both be correct. There's only two possibilities: she was attcked by Kav and he is lying or was too drunk to accurately recall. Or she is lying. Nobody is buying this horses*** story that Wheelan came up with.

Gorsuch must be sitting on a cloud patting his own back at how great a guy he is. I would be! Squeaky clean and smart!
