Let's hope Mueller is subpoenaing all of Uday's emails and his texts. I'm sure some of them were sent to Donny Sr.

DP. Kushner should have reported this meeting though. So far, the only one he claims to have mistakenly omitted was the one from December. Even if he walked out eventually, he took the meeting.

A few things here. One, as the Times helpfully points out, there is no such thing as the "Crown prosecutor" in Russia. So, it's not exactly clear who Goldstone is referring to, but one good possibility is the prosecutor general of Russia -- a man named Yury Yakovlevich Chaika, who was appointed by Russian president Vladimir Putin. This person, who, again, was appointed by Putin and works in an official capacity in the Russian government, is offering up "official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary."

Hard to say Don Jr. didn't have any idea what he'd be getting -- or hoping to get -- out of the meeting.

Goldstone: "This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump."

So. Again, Don Jr. knew what he was getting into in this meeting. And the expectation was this would be "very high level and sensitive" information.

Its not clear to me if it was actually a violation of US Code on campaign funds from foreign entities. I think thats debatable, since the intent to break it was there.

But its clearly an "issue" How did we get to the point that only proof of lawbreaking is an "issue"? Is that draining the swamp?

Clearly there was dishonesty, lying, and likely a cover up. This may have violated the law. It may also be tied to other larger activities.

Not quite. DOJ is federal, Trump can pardon all federal offenses. What he can't pardon are state offenses. Since this happened in NY, NY State could charge them. The question then becomes, did they break NY state law? Because NY can't charge them for breaking federal law.
