I've been watching this show since the beginning. I think Robyn likes the idea of polygamy, but in a practical sense, she's not really cut out for it and is too needy of a person. Self-preservation for herself and her children is probably her highest goal. Robyn and Kody both did a lot of things to alienate themselves from the rest of the wives including:
-taking an 11-day expensive honeymoon when Truly (Christine's youngest) was about 4 weeks old. Other wives either didn't have a honeymoon or got a 3-day spontaneous/unplanned road trip.
-insisting Robyn's kids can't be away from Kody for more than 3 days at a time while the other kids go weeks/months w/o seeing him, especially during Covid
-not going to Ysabel's spinal surgery and telling Christine to have Ysabel go to NJ alone due to covid, but being ok with traveling to be an officiant for a friend's wedding
-having a nanny look after Robyn's kids instead of asking her sister wives and still having the nanny come/go during covid when Kotex wasn't seeing most of his kids due to some of the older kids coming/going.
-creating a long list of covid protocols and weaponizing non-compliance so he hardly saw Christine's or Janelle's kids at all during covid
-using a good chunk of the proceeds from the sale of Janelle's Vegas house to buy Robyn's big ($900K) Flagstaff house. Meanwhile, Janelle, who has always worked, is in a rental home and now 5th wheel.
-legally marrying Kody when it's questionable how necessary that really was
-moving to Flagstaff to be close to where Robyn's son attended college under the guise of getting needing to get out of Vegas before the market "dropped" and for a "slower" life.
-Kody admitting he doesn't love or have a sexual relationship with two of his wives anymore and somehow they're just supposed to deal with it.

There will be no 5th wife. Kody isn't into polygamy anymore, but he's stuck. He can't really kick out Janelle or Meri so he just withdraws love, time, attention, financial resources, etc for "disobedience." I think Kody's anger is because he would rather just be married to Robyn, but he is trapped in this situation, and mad that Christine got out and he can't.

Our if all the sister wives Janelle seems like the smartest one by far. Didn’t her sons get into the Air Force Academy? That takes brains. Robyn seems like she is slow.

Is Janelle’s mother still married to Kody’s father? Is that why Janelle stays?

Janelle was frustrated that trips with Kody (like when they picked up the 5th wheel) always got cut short because Kody couldn't be away from Solomon and Ari for more than 2-3 days, nevermind he never had a problem leaving Truly, even as a newborn. Truly is not much older than Sol. There is only an 18-month age gap between them, and Robyn has also said that it is too hard for her kids to go that long w/o seeing their dad so Kotex accommodates her.

Janelle's mom died in 2020. They were married so Janelle's mom was also Kody's stepmom at some point, but Kody's dad died in 2013.

Janelle was the brains and finances of that situation. That she is left financially with nothing while Robyn lives in an almost million dollar house blows my mind. When Christine and cared for her kids while she worked, that was one thing. But Robyn doesn’t seem to do anything for anyone else but receives the benefits. If I were Janelle I would move into that house and I wouldn’t leave Koby without $$$. ( Iknow she does not want to live with Robyn and Kody has no money). The whole thing is disgusting.

I feel like this show is the anti-advertisement for plural marriage. In large part because Kody just doesn't seem to take his responsibilities to ALL of his wives seriously.

One of the men in his sect needs to give him a talking to. These women trusted him and clearly they shouldn't have.

At least they did a good job raising their sons and their sons can take care of them.

And Kody writing off Mariah? Despicable.

Janelle will, at least, get Social Security since she has worked so many years. I don’t know if Christine has 40 quarters yet. Does the income from the show count?

He shouldn't be able to just get it elsewhere. If he needs to have full relationships with each wife or be celibate.

Mariah came out as transgender in early 2022 and now goes by Leo/Leon. Kody hasn’t shown any support, at least not publicly.

Kody's mental health has deteriorated since COVID began. He is currently in an angry state over Christine leaving, but I think it's because one of his income sources is out. Go Christine! Since Janelle was renting, she doesn't have any real estate equity. I feel bad she didn't protect herself.

Reddit has a Sister Wives thread where everyone basically hates Kody and Robyn.
