| Going to Forestville Mall. |
| Does anyone remember a park that was in the ghetto (probably gentrified now) that had an acutal plane and tank we could climb on? My dad took us there when we were kids. I can't even imagine the safety issues involved with that one... |
You are probably thinking of the old soldiers home on north capitol st? |
| Speaking of North Capitol, what year did Archbishop Carroll start the paper in the fence? |
| when the caps would choke in game 7. |
| I love this thread. |
Yeah sorry, but not "the ghetto" at all. Although the middle class black neighborhood of Brookland is about a half mile to the south. Also near Children's hospital. The airplane is still there but the area's been closed to the public for decades. |
cabin john park had one as well, you could crawl all the way through the fuselage (sp) and all over it. it was awesome. hardly the ghetto |
I would sit inside the Cabin John plane as long as my Mom would let me. My Dad was in a foreign prison then - I would stick my head out of the plane and see her crying - so I would pop my head back in and let her be alone until she was done crying. |
I went to a Wonderama show when it was held at some place in MD - can't remember the venue. LOL! |
tons of streakers when I was at Holy Cross in Kensington tons |
filled with desperate gals - both old and young They had those HUGE drinks - can't recall the name. One would get you blasted in no time. |
Rumors! LOL! I loved that place. |

Economides, Mrs. Fotini D - Teacher Resource
married now at Einstein! LOL!
|
No way! Fotini got married? I was hoping she was waiting for me all these years. I even baked her a loaf of bread and gave it to her at the end of the year. (Huge crush on Fotini) Is she still beautiful or did the Greek curse hit? |
