If the federal government no longer chooses to fund the data collection, we will likely have to pay a monthly fee (like Netflix) just to get the wether on an app. How do you not know this?

OMG. Yes.

The scientists look at data and numbers and turn that data and numbers into the pretty swirls of clouds and colors we see on our screens.

The main hurricane center was in Miami with the backup center, if Miami went down, in Maryland.

They predict storms and warn people about them. Now, we will not have this info or it will be negatively impacted.

In the future, Trump and friends want to make people pay for this info.

Soon, we will not have weather info.

They do not. My very smart and accomplished family members who are Rs have a different set of facts and information. We don't speak the same language or share the same news. I'm talking basic "how have you missed that story for 20+ years" differences from people who are smart enough and have enough resources to know better.
