I’m one degree of separation from them through multiple people for different reasons.

I’m actually very close to someone who is good friends with Taylor Hawkins’s wife. They went to HS together in VB and have been close ever since. Hawkins cheated on his wife plenty. Never heard anything about Dave Grohl, but not surprised at all it would be any different.
They faced tons of temptations on the road.

What disturbs me with these babies by mistresses/other women is that the wife never gets away from it. It’s a constant reminder.

When someone cheats and wants to stay in the marriage after confessing or getting caught the playbook is to go 100% no contact, never seeing/talking to that person again, deleting all means of contact, no calls, emails texts or anything. Instant poof into thin air.

He’s been to visit the baby several times.

Imagine being the wife and he’s off at the hospital meeting his new baby and visiting with the woman he cheated with.

I can see why even staunchly Catholic Maria Shriver was like—no fkkkkkkg way. I’m out of this. It would be very weird to be forced to have a relationship with the product of your spouse’s affair. At least if you divorce you don’t need to spend holidays with the affair baby/kid.

Nobody. But if she stays married she will have to. He’s going to get visitation, some holiday time, etc. it’s not like for the next 18 years or more the kid will never visit daddy when he’s already visiting her in the hospital.

His wife is more attractive than him , she doesnt seem like someone who would just stay with/for the kids, she had many other options but choose not to pursue them. Some people are OK with others cheating, I mean maybe she has her own partner outside of the relationship. Basically the woman does not see naive at all. She seems very level headed, she will be fine, the daughters-well that's another story.

I agree Jordyn will be fine. She will go the way of Reece Witherspoon and date a wealthy non celebrity and marry him (Reece is dating a finance guy).

Dave might not fare so well. I think he loves Jordyn and loves his home life. He will continue to numb himself with alcohol and working too much. It likely won’t end well. Maybe he’ll pull it together but I think he’ll struggle for a few years.

Does anyone remember sonic youth? Thurston was married to Kim and they had a daughter. They were together forever and he had an affair with a middle aged artist when the daughter was a senior in high school and left Kim. He was estranged from his daughter for several years. They’ve since gotten back to talking, but you can just tell from her social media she is much closer to her mom. The daughters especially the oldest one will eventually forgive him but will never forget this.

That aside, if early 30’s is middle age (which was his mistress-future-wife’s age, 20 years Thorson’s junior at the time) then I’m a granny.

Not to derail this thread but her background is insane. Cheating cheating cheating, multiple marriages and married into Dutch royalty but wanted to be edgy so she slithered her way into Kim and Thurstons marriage. She’s a real piece of work.
