If Oregon & Washington move to the Big Ten, Arizona, ASU, & Utah will go to Big 12, and WSU & OSU to the Mountain West conference, then Stanford and UCal-Berkeley will be the only remaining schools in the Pac-12.

Holding out hope that Notre Dame joins the ACC in a deal that brings two of its traditional rivals with it-----Stanford and Navy!

I think Stanford and UC Berkley will be in tough spot----Oregon and Washington ultimately go to the BIG 10, Washington State and Oregon State get downgraded to the MWC. Can't see Stanford and Berkely ending up in the MWC.

I think Stanford goes independent. It's a shame that they won't stay P5 because they have the most successful athletic program in the country, just not in the only sport that matters.

Stanford and Cal are almost hostile to football because of the toxic masculinity. They should just drop the programs

They should, but they still need to find a conference for swimming/gymnastics/soccer...

OSU and WSU don't want to go to the Mountain West. We should make that clear. They won't be jumping ship for the MWC. They'd much rather stay with what is left and expand if they can.

Stanford and Cal next

Them going to the mountain west is really the mountain west moving to the PAC. They aren't going to get a media deal in line with the P5, it's still going to be a MWC deal

Stanford has had one of the better college football teams over the last 15 years. They've had a few bad years but they went to bowls every year 2009-2018, including 3 Rose Bowls an Orange Bowl, and a Fiesta Bowl. They were 4-2 in the Covid year, so it hasn't been forever since they were decent. I will be interested to see what their options end up being. Nerd Nation and Cal are in a tough spot.

Does adding Arizona, ASU, and Utah really help the Big 12? I get Arizona, especially with the importance of basketball to Big 12 leaders, but why add the other two?

Does BYU want Utah in the Big 12? There is no love lost between those two.
