It is about 1/8 of a mile from PVI

Every single Loudoun County HS team is impacted by PVI being in their backyard. The really good players who want to play D1 college lax will skip playing for their local high school and go to PVI.

Plenty of McLean, Great Falls, Arlington kids at the IAC and WCAC schools. Best offensive players at Prep and SJC are VA kids. Wah!

PVI = No WCAC Lax Titles. Even Ireton and SMR have won it.

Nate Kabiri would go to Yorktown so everyone relax

He would not have gone to Yorktown this season so relax. He would have been a college Freshman had he attended public school

His public high-school would of been Yorktown but he chose to go private

And if you have ever met his parents, he would still have reclassed had he gone to public school - just in 8th grade instead of 9th!!!!

OK, let's be nice everyone. Please no negative talk about specific players or families. Keep it to a discussion of actual teams playing in Class 6 playoffs.

Staying within 6A, isn’t there also a Yorktown player who is double reclassed?

Had not heard that. Any double reclass would almost certainly be over the VHSL age limit (cannot be 19 in August of the school year).

District finals game Robinson was completely overmatched. The deficiency is not just at FOGO. I think Bruins are motivated and mental lapses during regular season will not be repeated. They need to stay focused but I expect them to win their first ever regional title this week and be in the state final where I think they have the edge against a very very good Yorktown team.

Robinson is talented and has great coaches but I don't see who will step up to bury goals for them against LB. Edge has to go to Bruins, by more than a couple in the rubber match.

Robo's frosh fogo was handling LB well in their first matchup, creating plenty of 50/50s--until he sustained a season-ending injury in that game. If Robo can do that again with a long pole (just create a 50/50, don't worry about clamp wins) or 2nd fogo, they will control possession (keeping ball from their 2 shooters), allowing D to focus on those 2, and beat LB in a close game.

I don’t a public school would re-class unless a student had a legitimate learning issue to hold back a grade.

I heard that a Yorktown player was given a three minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty at the end of the Regional playoff game last night - does anyone know what he said or did?

Too bad one couldn’t be given to some of the Madison parents in the stands….

He would've played at Riverside but chose to play Freshman year at SB to play with his brother (his freshman year was the first year Riverside was opened so the seniors still went to SB)

Taunting with less than a minute left. There was some arguing about whether it was also an ejection. Not sure how that ended up.

Let's just say he used a particular word that was regrettable.

Was he a freshman or 8th grader? In Loudoun county it’s not unheard of for an older 8th grader to play football and lacrosse for the high school.

I personally think that madison is going to smoke yorktown on Friday. Yorktowns defense has looked sluggish at best and madison is surging at the right time. Yorktown will be lucky if they keep it within 4 goals.

Yorktown ain't McLean. They are experienced and well-coached. It will be close. Looking forward to watching the game!
