Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania? He introduced Trump to Jeffrey Clark and is intimately involved in at least the January 6-related investigation of DOJ and probably the fake electors section of it, too. If you’re implying that he sent out a dumb tweet about the Attorney General and immediately the feds grabbed the phone of a sitting Congressman as a result without proper procedures that would have taken weeks if not months, you can show yourself out.

Not a tweet. Filed articles of impeachment against the head of the DOJ, who then turned the FBI on him. I'm sure proper procedures were followed, just like with the FISAs.

My favorite like today was the press secretary stating "Biden found out about the raid at the same time the American people did". Where have we heard that before? Hmm

Again, please leave. There is no possible way you could get a search warrant written, sworn to, filed and approved and that short an amount of time.

It's more likely they found something in those boxes they just seized at Mar-a-Lago that gave them probable cause to seize Perry's phone.

Making stuff up again. What TV show this time?

When the FBI did not allow Trump's lawyers to stay, and went inside with backpacks, etc, there's no way of knowing what was done.

This is hysterical.
If the raid on Maralogo was about classified records, why would they find something to cause them to seize Perry's phone?

We need to stop talking about Perry’s phone here, it has nothing to do with this. It has to do with Jeffrey Clark and John Eastman and the plot to overturn the election.

Same bat time, same bat channel.

But my. God.

How can the slightly more sane of you republicans look at yourselves and say - yup - when the FBI was investigating Hillary’s email, that was correct to do and in fact we are sure she should be locked up for her ‘crimes’.

But a few years later, AFTER 4 YEARS OF A TRUMP PRESIDENCY AND TRUMP APPOINTING THE HEAD OF FBI WHO CONTINUES TO THIS DAY, the FBI is now a corrupt wing of the Democratic Party?

Get ahold of yourselves

Oh, FFS. Did the FBI do a pre-dawn raid to search for those emails that Hillary wiped from her server? For that matter, did they do a pre-dawn, long guns drawn raid to even find the server?
Yes - there are still way too many agents at the FBI who are corrupt to the core. Wray has done nothing to rein in the rogue agents.
This raid was so unwarranted and will come back to bite the Dems in the butt. Mark my words.

Wooah, wooah wooah moron. So your position is that there was no search warrant at all? That a bunch of rogue FBI agents just took it upon themselves to do this.

You are beyond being helped.

I think he's saying a corrupt head of the FBI drew up a warrant to be signed by a corrupt judge. Just like they did with the FISAs

If the warrant is so ridiculous why hasn’t Trump shared it? He’s the only one who can do so.

Just a guess - cause he’s guilty as sin?

I hear the warrant was signed by a judge who loves Trump, but had to concede that he's a criminal.

10 more boxes? That's a ton of documents.

There's no innocent explanation for the documents being there, either.

Wow.

Lol. Popular meme today.

Honestly I can’t believe the FBI is doing this to someone who just buried his ex-wife at one of his golf courses.

Ironically, the existence of the SCIF at the president’s private club in Palm Beach was first revealed in a White House press briefing on February 14, 2017, to rebut criticism Trump himself had put sensitive discussions at risk.

Probably the scif at mara Lago. Maybe someone left docs there
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-maralago-idUSKBN15T2Y2

People do not forget and leave classified materials behind. They are controlled.

Trump did say “vault” which is literally what a SCIF is. Also if you have a SCIF, there is a SCIF manager because a SCIF is really a management system of a vault room that requires logs, cameras, and etc. You also can just store classified materials like a stack of newspapers. There’s a ton of regulations on storage.

“Another person familiar with the search said agents began going through a storage unit, where items like beach chairs and umbrellas are kept, in the basement.”

Not a vault. Not a SCIF.

Ooooooh, he's hiding stuff all over the house! They even found documents in Melania's drawers!!

Hmmm what has changed?

So Mar a Lago is a hotel, right? Is this basement storage area one that hotel staff has access to? (To get those extra beach chairs and so forth?). Can you imagine some random hotel worker having access to classified documents that should be in a sit? You can’t even bring your wife into a SKF to get a set of car keys from you, even monitoring her and for just a sec…..but random Ivan that just got hired by the hotel—have at it!

Marco Rubio has a very short memory. Political power against a political opponent was used very recently in the US when the sitting president used badly needed military assistance to force an ally country to open and publicize a fake investigation accusing his opposing presidential candidate or corruption. I don’t remember Rubio voting to impeach the president who so blatantly misused his power. The same president directed his JD to nominate a special prosecutor to investigate the same political opponents son, a private citizen. Oh, the House leader of Rubio’s party has already said that, as soon as the GOP gets the majority, it will start investigations and public hearings on Biden’s family members as a revenge of the January 6 hearings investigating an attempted coup. So yes, power in the US has been users against political opponents in the US very recently

We will set a precedent in this country of prosecuting political rivals, and the republicans will do the same thing the next time a republican president is elected. And presidents will know that they can NEVER surrender power, since they’d be prosecuted after leaving office. So that will force them to seize dictatorial powers. This is exactly what happened with Julius Caesar and is how the Roman republic ended. Prosecuting political rivals will put us on the path to a civil war, which will end with one party authoritarian rule.

Oh so this is scary and not the attempt of a coup, the fake electors and all the new laws in some states to overturn the will of the people by legislators?

That’s not why the FBI searched his house. It was for alleged violations of the “Presidential Records Act.” Election disputes are common throughout our history, but a former president (let alone one who can run for another term) has NEVER been charged in our history. Do you doubt that the next republican would start charging democrats? Anyone can be charged with something. I wonder how many sitting democratic senators have ever violated federal records retention laws?

Do you understand that there needs to be clear evidence of crimes to get a federal search warrant on anyone, particularly a former President who’s constantly blathering about running again?

Yes, and do you understand that we have thousands of laws in this country and that prosecutors could find a violation to prosecute anyone they want? Literally anyone. Do you really think that the *reason* the FBI is going after him is solely because they are worried about the “Presidential Records Act”?

This is really, really dangerous stuff.

Now that you mention it doesn’t this guy owe a debt of gratitude to James Comey and his national press conference on the eve of the election regarding the investigation of Hilary Clinton. Who as far as I can tell isn’t an admitted enemy of the state.

The guy is a traitor and a crook and the FBI wouldn’t be conducting a search if they didn’t have a 100% degree of certainty of the commission of a very serious crime. He should have just given the documents back and there would have been no need for a warrant.

I am pissed that this guy continues to waste American tax dollars. This lunatic needs to do the right thing and just go away. Even my 6 year old understands that not all attention is good attention. I don’t know who hurt him but I do know
he’s too old for all this nonsense.
