Yup. Israel knew exactly what it was doing when it torched South Pars. And Iran saw it coming and had warned the GCC a week ago. They could not reign in Trump despite all the bribes they have given him. They deserve it but now everybody in the world is going to suffer.

This looks like it will be long war. The US can not maintain their bases in the region. The cost will be too high but Trump can not retreat and abandon the region.

It will have to happen under another president. The republicans will attack that president as surrendering to Iran.

I wonder if Trump and the Republicans can keep this war going for another 3 years? The strait can not be opened by force, the oil facilities are very vulnerable, US bases are under constant attack and Iran has planned for a long war against the evil Americans and Israelis.

The war is now being fought to keep an American presence in the region. This is what the war is about now.

What is Israel going to do? Israel is in the same situation as the US bases in terms of missile attacks. You think the US is going to continue to fund their anti missile defense? That will be 200-400 billion a year. Israel is also fighting two other wars(which are going badly) and occupying a territory that is 1/4 the size of Israel.
