They certainly seem to want to go:

| That just piles crazy on top of stupid. |
|
I remember thinking Scotland was soon stupid for wanting to leave the UK.
Scotland, I humbly apologize. You were right, and you should totally do another vote, and leave. Northern Ireland, too. Let England and Wales congratulate themselves into oblivion. |
|
^ So not soon.
At any rate--leave Scotland! Feel sorry for London. Harder for them to leave. |
| Should NW DC join Md? Should Texas secede from the US? |
Nova should definitely secede from the rest of VA!
|
| Sure! Londonistan is no longer British anyways. They've already imposed sharia dress code and plastered their buses with 'glory to allah' |
|
No. No need to panic yet. I wouldn't be surprised if Brexit never happens. There's a long way to go yet.
It's bizarre that a country would leave such a huge decision in the hands of a simple majority of fish and chip munchers. I think China has the best model of government at this point in history. All this back and forth with elections and changes of regimes and such is not efficient. |
I'm in London now. You should come visit. It might do you good to see what a vibrant, cosmopolitan city looks like. You might even learn something about tolerance. |

Well, 40% of London still voted to Leave. That's a pretty big minority by most accounts.
No, London would not leave the UK. It's just silly talk by disgruntled people. I don't have a stake in the British referendum and despite being pretty well versed on the EU and its history I still cannot fathom why so many people are pissed off (especially if they are not British) that a sovereign nation collectively decided on a different future than remaining part of the EU. Isn't the whole point of a sovereign nation to govern on the collective will of its people and in this case the collective will of the British voters was to leave the EU. Life will go on. People will adapt. London is a dynamic city and the UK has a strong history of democracy, stability and one of the most liberal economies in Europe and a highly educated population. They will be fine. FYI I picked up from the Guardian that the majority of Jewish voters in the UK voted to leave. That's pretty telling. |
+1 Sharia law as well. |
You do realize that you sound like an elitist ass? |
Telling, in what way? |
| Well, the most common male baby name in London last year was Mohammad, so they're half way there. |
Not pp, but the referendum was a huge blunder by Cameron. There was no reason for it other than political gamesmanship. Now it has become clear that people had by their own admission no clue what they were voting about. |
