Anti-intellectualism is the biggest problem facing democracy. Brexit, Trump -- they're all part of the right-wing's continuing effort to manipulate the uninformed.

I cannot stand how Trump and Brexit are lumped together. I think Trump is a total buffoon, but I am delighted with the Brexit vote.
Putting Trump and Brexit together is like equating Trump and Bernie Sanders because they both opposed NAFTA.

It's bizarre that a country would leave such a huge decision in the hands of a simple majority of fish and chip munchers. I think China has the best model of government at this point in history. All this back and forth with elections and changes of regimes and such is not efficient.

You do realize that you sound like an elitist ass?

The type of elitist ass which caused those in Great Britain to vote for leaving the EU.

Someone who lived in Switzerland for several years told me that if Great Britain left the EU,many of the banks in non-EU Switzerland would move to London, making it even more of a financial capital. Boris Johnson, the former mayor of London and now likely PM after Cameron, was very much behind Brexit. The wealthy and educated of London were mostly against Brexit. Why would Johnson support Brexit, if he didn't see an upside for his city and country?

I think a lot more will be revealed after Cameron goes in October.

UBS and Credit Suisse already have a large presence in London. Hard to see what the benefit is of switching incorporation to a nonEU UK--Switzerland is also nonEU.
