Please gun supporters - explain to me once and for all why you need an automatic weapon

Anonymous
I've read every article I've seen on gun supporters. You want to keep your handgun "for safety", fine. But please tell me why you need and feel it's your right to buy something like an AR-15. I just can't understand.

Brilliant article by the way -

Just to clarify.....
Automatic weapons are illegal.

Please, first amendment supporters, tell me why you need to sing, why you need to pray, why you need to peaceably assemble?

Same reason people want a pitbull. Need to feel powerful. It's all they got.

And if you need an AR-15, or a pitbull to feel safe, you probably need to move, like, now.

OK morons, for the thousandth time, every AR-15 is not an "automatic weapon".

Why do you "need" a BMW or a Mercedes?

You don't. You want it. Other people want AR-15s. It's called freedom.

I don't need my guns to "feel safe" or "powerful" so fuck off.

A luxury car owner cant perform MASS murders at the same rate an assault rifle can? If freedom to have something increases the chance of taking the freedom to live for so many innocent citizens, then that freedom need to be reconsidered.

Strange collection tendencies? I can't imagine how someone feels safer with a load of AR-15s in their house. I personally support having a handgun (a trained, properly vetted individual having a handgun). There have been many cases where users saved themselves and/or their families with a gun. You have to do what you have to do, right? Killing is awful, but in hindsight, I doubt anyone who did it in defense would trade places with the person he/she shot.

But a whole arsenal? Yikes. I have a lot of trouble wrapping my head around the need to stockpile military-grade weapons. May as well live next to a poorly built nuclear reactor.

I'm a moderate on gun control, but let's be realistic here. The Left would not stop at AR-15's. Handgun bans are very real; we've already seen them. So to presume that if everyone would only give up their AR-15's, then everything would be settled, is ridiculous.

And I own NO guns, personally.

Bad analogy. Many jurisdictions have, in fact, banned pitbulls.

No way. Banning AR's is a step in the right direction. What's ridiculous is that it's even legal now.

And many don't. How about akitas? Just as dangerous.

Point is, there are people, who for whatever reason, seem to want or need unusually dangerous items or animals and they state it's their American right to have such things, and as many of them as they'd like.

You realize that an AR-15 is not a full auto weapon, right?
