Kirkland Formula?

Anonymous
Hi guys!

My LO is 2 months old, and we have decided it would be best to switch to formula. We are currently using enfamil newborn, but it is quite pricey. I noticed at Costco the other day the Kirkland brand seems much less expensive. Anyone use this? Was it okay for your little one? I don't want to switch off newborn till he's passed 3 months, but I thought that might be a good time to try it. Im just nervous not using one of the major brands for some reason. Any FF tips or tricks much appreciated!!!

It's great.
And 1/3 the price of the other stuff. It used to be a little too foamy, but that seems to have been fixed.
All Kirkland brands are brand-name labels. The formula is Similac.

Infant formula is highly regulated.

We used up and up from target, but lots of people use the Kirkland from Costco.

Not PP but no it's not BS. Abbott Nutrition manufactures Kirkland brand formula. They also manufacture Similac. Kirkland products are all made by major manufacturers who generally produce name brand products as well.

+1 We started with Kirkland's formula and it as fine but tasted very metalic. We switched to the Target brand and my son liked it much more.

That doesn't make anything. It's BS to claim it's similac. There's no way to REALLY know.

We use it and my son has no issues with it. He took it before 3 months also and was fine.

I used it with 2 babies with no problem, our peditrician said it was just as good as the expensive brands.

My baby does great on it and fwiw it really does seem exactly like similac.

You realize Costco itself doesn't make these Kirkland products themselves right? It's not like they have 1,000 different factories for all the different products. Kirkland Baby Formula is made by one of the major US formula companies. Just as good/safe as any other brand.

Yes of course I know Costco doesn't make it. But I don't know who does. Similac only makes formula. Enfamil as well. Kirkland makes everything from formula to beer to kitty litter.
