Kirkland Formula?

Anonymous
I didn't read all the crazy replies but YES, I used it with my daughter 2 years ago when I had to supplement when my milk supply took a dive. I liked it. Didn't have a funny smell or off color like some do. I mixed it with breast milk as much as possible but especially at first to help transition. She was a little older...6 months.

There's no company named Kirkland, it's just the name they use for their store branded products. So the company that makes Kirkland branded formula (that would be Abbott Nutrition, who also makes Similac) is NOT the same company that makes Kirkland branded shampoo (that would be Pureology) or Kirkland branded diapers (that would be Kimberly Clark, who also makes Huggies), etc....

DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW??

Yeah ok but that's besides the point of the post. We DON'T know who makes their formula.

Do you not buy anything generic ever?

We tried it with our first one two years ago but it was too foamy. He also did not like similac. We ended up with Vermont organics formula that was sold by Costco for a while but Costco doesn't carry it any more.

+1 We started with Kirkland's formula and it as fine but tasted very metalic. We switched to the Target brand and my son liked it much more.

You tasted it?

Yes I did. It's formula, not breastmilk. Why wouldn't you taste it?

Some mothers taste their breastmilk if something seems off with the baby, not super weird.

Eh, my breastmilk has excess lipase so I taste it all the time to check if it has developed that soapy/metallic lipase flavor. NBD.
