| Really depends on the kid and their clique. Be sneakers are definitely not "cool" among my son's friends because they don't give two hoots about basket ball. |

My son finds futsol shoes (same as any hard surface soccer shoe, English or whatever) very uncomfortable for ordinary wear. |

| My DS has accumulated 6 or 8 pairs Nike Air Max and similar shoes that all look the same to me (Excessive, but he buys them, so I don't really care). I think most are "lifestyle' models and not geared to a particular sport, but one or two are running shoes. He would never wear Sperry. It really depends on your kid. Tell him to look at his friends' feet. |

+1000 My DD(HS) has about 6 pairs. Most of the boys wear either Converse or some form of Nike. Adidas and Puma are also making a comeback. |

My 13 yr old DS is alterna / urban and non-sporty.

| I think you should ask the kid you are buying for. My kids friends all wear Nike but my kid is all about Adidas. He doesent own a pair of Nikes even thought they seem to be more popular. |
