You are misusing the term “pendulous”.

She’s definitely a bit short-waisted, as are most people with long legs. A skirt with a lower waist band would have been better.

Melania’s belt here is not at her natural waist, it’s at her low waist. Which is good for her. It shows enough thin torso to not make her look matronly. I agree with a previous poster that in the holiday picture above, the belt is too high because Melania doesn’t have the real estate between her boobs and waist.

I don’t know how to feel about it. I do like that color combination, and its fit is better than the vast majority of what she wears, but I still don’t love it. I would have to see a picture at another angle. I hope the gems aren’t frayed and it’s just some sort of optical illusion.
