Juliana is much more vocal today. Expresses she didn't take the plea at first because she was worried she would have no representation as Brendon's mom paid for her lawyer. She was concerned she would not have communication with her family as she was only communicating with them via Theresa, his mother.

Defense attorney is coming off condescending. For example asking why she is saying her letters that she's in pain. She's very young woman in a foreign country in jail after killing a man.

He says "you're not certain what the source of the pain is that you're referencing in the letter"?

She later states she starts taking meds for depression and anxiety in jail.

He keeps asking for dates on things (e.g. when she started taking meds) as if she has a calendar in front of her. And when she says she's unsure he'll say "So youre uncertain of when..." this or that happened.

This case blows my mind because it's not so hard to believe the husband plotting to kill the wife. That happens and he's a psycho. But for his au pair to also want to sleep with him and then to also be a psycho and then ALSO HIS MOM???
