a male colleague at work constantly staring at lips area when in meeting or discussion.
not sure if he is looking at hairy upper lip or chin or lips. is it a habit of his? Makes me very uncomfortable and I try to look away or look down to avoid it or cover my lips. He is a nice person, so I doubt if this is any kind of flirting. How to handle this? just want him to stop staring at lips. |
| Does he have a hearing issue? |
| You are bothered by him looking at anyone's lips, not just yours? |
| Maybe he finds you hot and wants to kiss you. |
| Might be hearing impaired and reading lips. |
| Report him. |
| Maybe he's trying not to look at the boob area. |
I thought of hearing issue as well. |
| Ask someone else to observe this behavior. |
| Send a signal by covering your mouth with your hand. Put the discomfort on him. |
|
A) is there anything unusual about your lips.
B) maybe he doesn't like looking people in the eyes, I don't C) does he do this with other people or just you? |

op here:
I do not know if he does it to any one else. Not comfortable asking anyone else about this at work. One thing that I noted reading above comments is "reading lips" I am wondering if that is what this is all about. He does have a different accent than mine. I have trouble understanding what he says sometimes. maybe he has trouble understanding what I say. |
| There is nothing harassing or sexual or transgressive in this behavior OP. |
I have hairy upper lip. |
??? For what? |
