The Constitution does not limit Federal power, the constitution grants each citizen certain inalienable rights that no government may take away. State and local elected officials ARE GOVERNMENT.

Out-of-touch non-sequitur. Right now, the GOP is all about taking away. Womens' autonomy. Capability to deal with pandemics. Historical, political and scientific accuracy in school textbooks. Religious freedoms that aren't aligned to conservative christianity. The list goes on and on.

It’s called the bill of rights and the constitution. There are many strict constitutionalists left in America.

The problem is that if it isn't specifically mentioned in the Constitution they won't protect it and the list of things the Constitution will protect is a lot shorter than the list of things that need to be protected.
