Well, now if only "I have a plan" Warren can manage to secure the nomination in the Democratic primary race.

I find it hilarious, and a little sad, that democrats would point to current poll numbers as if it is meaningful in any way. What Democrats currently have is the euphoria of hope, thus far unexposed to any of the nasty infighting that will occur between now and the national convention to pick their nominee. What the voters have are not deep understandings of the candidates and their positions on issues, but fantastic idealized images of the perfect candidate that will defeat Trump. Look at this graph:

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/pres...sidential_nomination-6730.html

Remember when Beto was so rad and awesome? Remember when Kamala Harris was so inspirational, walking out of those hearings in protest, what strength! Maybe Warren is pounding down beer in her kitchen to demonstrate her down-to-earthiness, or maybe she is just trying to forget her embarrassment. What we do see is that the two leading candidates for the Democratic Party is an old socialist, and a guy who has lost every single presidential run he ever attempted, and whose biggest campaign efforts to date amounts to an apology tour.

Now I'm not saying that Democrats can't pull one out of the bag, but as of now, I'm pretty optimistic that Trump will win in 2020.

Almost as pathetic as the loser MAGA who tries to post obscure Trump approval numbers.

At least you agree it is pathetic. Who says we can't get along. I'm optimistic that we can! Just keep your composure when Trump wins in 2020.

Delusion: When someone can not make a case based on numbers, facts, reasons and simply declares that the most hated president (for his constant lies, incompetence, fraud and corruption)will WIN simply because you feel so.

But that's exactly what you're doing, in reverse. You despise Trump, and your every ridiculous post makes that abundantly clear. You hate him, and you don't want him to win. Fine - you're certainly entitled to your opinion. But it does beg the question - why on earth do you continue participating on a thread which is about why we think he WILL win in 2020? You do realize there's another thread designed for people like you to rant and rave about Trump, right? Why are you here and not there? You're just clogging up this thread with your hateful, rage-filled posts. Take it elsewhere, or better yet, take your meds.

There is no hate or rage. Just sadness at what the country has come down to. If 1/3 of Americans(like you) have no sense of a basic human decency and support an incompetent, uncouth, depraved person then what values do you have. What values does this country have ? Now don’t get into whataboutism.

People and the country has to stand on values, ideas and ideals that are worth fighting for. America is an idea that’s worth fighting for. An idea that diverse people bound by values, ideals and ideas can merge their differences and find a common voice, a common goal and set an example for humanity to aspire for. That’s what progressivism is all about. It is easy to divide people by race, color, religion etc but it is a challenge to unite people. Trump is like the last call from the past, a past that was divisive, unfair , unjust to many American citizens. So no , we don’t want that last to continue. We want a new beginning. Obama was a good beginning. We will keep finding ways to make America fair, equal and great for everyone not just the white man or the rich man.

The dark forces always loses. Truth alone triumphs.

That's exactly why Trump was elected - because America IS an idea that's worth fighting for, and someone like Obama was content to put American interests second to the rest of the world. I'm not sure who you're speaking for, but it's not me and certainly not millions of other people.

+1.

Funny that some acolyte of the Cult of Identity Politics, Systemic Whining, Division and Violence says "Truth alone triumphs."

Yup, that's 2016 in a nutshell and, most likely, 2020 too.

The only violence I saw during the campaign was associated with Trump rallies. It's hard to believe how blind this Trump supporter is.

I get that Trump promised he would screw the people who caused hardship in 2008. But he's not doing that. Open your eyes. He is not helping you and if destroying the rest of us is how you think you will win, well, that's a losing game for us as a country.

We had a bad choice in 2016, but whatever you believe you must see that Trump is making things worse. There is someone way better out there who needs to be elected. Frankly, I don't care which party the person comes from as long as they offer more stability and a unifying perspective and speak for the common person in America. It's not Trump. Trump proves every day that he is all about himself.

Sorry, but America is too important to have Trump stickers all over it. We do have shared values and Trump represents the antithesis of them.

Thank you for a thoughtful comment.

Now let's consider that first sentence you wrote.

Yes, there was violence "associated with Trump rallies" ... and it was uniformly sparked and/ or directly committed by Hillary supporters trying to block or impede such rallies.

Why wasn't a similar violence "associated with Hillary rallies"?

First, because the were no rallies

Second, and my point, is that Trump supporters didn't block or impede or attack Hillary events in any way.

Incidentally, the other major sources of violence in 2015 and 2016 were primarily aligned with the Dem party: antifa and BLM riots, violent college "protests" against conservative speakers, a 20% increase in murder rate largely driven by Dem-controlled large cities.

It is the liar who practices white identity politics. All he has to do is harass non whites and the supremacists will vote for him.

A warm welcome to this thread!!

Now, please tell us, why are you optimistic about Trump winning in 2020? What has he done to make someone like you support him?

1. Stop the lies
2. Stop the juvenile name calling and stop the twitter rants that are worse than the worst teenager.
2. Release the taxes like every president has done for 50 years
3. Remove himself from all the businesses so there is transparency and some credibility that he isn’t using his office for private profit.
4. Come clean on Russia and explain why he didn’t report all the Russian contacts to FBI? Come clean why he is too soft on Putin and desperately wanted to remove sanctions that congress had to go come up with veto prof majority to impose sanctions.
5. Stop dividing the country into My voters vs THEM. Stop the attack’s on Any media, agency that report his lies as Fake news.

I know none of that is possible and so he isn’t gonna EARN my vote. If my choice had been Hillary and Romney or McCain , Hillary isn’t getting my vote.

I am in Michigan. No one cares about immigration here.

They care about jobs and healthcare. Trump's idiotic tariifs will hurt the auot industry and kill him here.

I am in NC and the state is going the way of VA sooner rather than later. With the RTP attracting tons of technology folks and Charlotte getting NYC liberals those two areas are inundated with liberals. Wake county, the second largest county voted 55-45 for Obama but went 60-40 EVEN FOR HILLARY. Net everyday migration into the state is 61 people, a majority liberals.

The tri county areas making up the two cities are experiencing construction boom but is running short of Hispanics for construction. So no one here cares about immigration either.

NC is going to be a battle ground this year. And Trump has to fight the battle in NC, GA,AZ and TX. That doesn’t bode well for him. He is gonna end up
Losing in 2/4 of those.

That’s why you are cultists. You have no clue that you are being taken for a ride by the career conman and liar. He is enacting an extensive reality tv. That’s all. All he has done so far is tax cuts for himself, he doubled H2B visas so he can get unlimited foreigners to fill waitress jobs at his properties, and he never implemented everify at his properties so he can hire illegals.

All he does is harass the poor refugees to con people like you. No wall, no deportation of dreamers or other illegals any more than Obama did. No coal/steel jobs with more coal plants shut down. His tariffs are hurting American farmers. His steel tariffs have led to GM, Ford shutting down factories. He is a master con artist. He is crashing the stock market to buy stocks on the low every time he announces tariffs. He tried to revoke Obamacare but couldn’t because it is popular.

You are just a fool he is cashing on. The rich are looking after their own interests not yours.

I love when someone comes on and tries to speak for an entire state. Really adds a lot to the conversation.

I have a lot of friends still there (I graduated from U of M) and I assure you there are most certainly people that care about immigration on the pleasant peninsula. And plenty of Trump supporters.

Did any of your friends give Amash a standing ovation?

Trump only win Michigan by 11k votes. I’m guessing he will lose by way more than 11k next time around.
