Washington Spirit VA ID sessions this Sunday

Have any of the parents asked? Serious question. Are they keeping it quiet until after the showcase in Colorado?

Spirit coach tutelage? What will they teach? How to lose every weekend? What’re you smoking? They’d have to hire coaches or bring in existing spirit staff (previously mentioned as the coaches that lose ever weekend).

Yes, I have firsthand knowledge of several who tried out in our age group over the past year and did not receive an invitation. Any other stupid questions?

Different poster. I'm curious. Which age group? Were they at ID sessions or did they come to a practice?

DP. I have seen players not invited both from ID sessions and one-off practice like tryouts. It's not a good idea to post much more than this, as I know the players and parents and am not looking to out the players or myself by specifying specific teams and years. This is true of ECNL and top team players at non-ECNL/DA clubs. The players that didn't receive invites were not poor players, but they obviously didn't meet what the coaches were looking for at the time. I'm not sure why this is such a hot discussion point here, as it happens at every top level club.
