The Board of Trustees is also significantly smaller than when I first looked into the school. What's going on? Anyone with reliable info? |

Clearly Mary is out of the picture for BASIS DC. The web site says it all. As much as she is bizarre and controversial it was Mary's passion and drive that launched the program in DC, so I hope there is a respectful transition/announcement on the way.

|
No, wait no. Basis is perfection. The answer to every affluent angtsy type A parent in public schools in DC.
Noooo. Say it ain't so. |
| Gosh, perhaps I withdrew my child too quickly! |
| Any new BASIS parents receive notice about change of BASIS DC leadership? Very strange how Mary has been erased from the web site. |
| Does it really matter? She's not the reason why we enrolled our DC. |
| Not to worry. The head of school has, what, 2 years teaching experience? Seriously, what could go wrong. |
| Mary knows BASIS can't work in DC and she has pulled out before anyone can accuse her of promising what she can't deliver. |
| 22:05...how do you know this? Separately it is a sign of managerial weakness that this sudden "transition" is mysterious, any good business manager would know if you open a window a crack there's either gonna be daylight or darkness. By eliminating M Siddall from the web site they've opened up questions about their original plans -- and they havet figured out how to answer them. If Mary wasn't the right fit, why did BASIS allow her to throw her life into this program, giving it birth in DC only to send her off without a word? |
| According to a parent list serve, Mary has taken a job with BASIS corporate to seek expansion into more cities. |
Hello, everyone: A public announcement will be forthcoming, but I have transitioned from the on-site management of BASIS DC to Director of External Relations for BASIS Educational Group. My new job is to raise the public profile of all BASIS schools so that we spread like wild fire across America. I am so proud and happy with our BASIS DC community, and look forward to contributing as a parent of an incoming 6th and 7th grader. Rest assured that my office will be located in the BASIS DC building, so I will see your babies grow and thrive every day. And also I leave the on-site management in the very capable hands of Paul Morrissey, who oversaw our very successful STARS program and was in charge of hiring our amazing teaching staff. As many of you know, Paul has been with BASIS for five years, first as an English teacher, college counselor, and then an upper school director of BASIS Scottsdale. He is exactly the right person to ensure that the academic program of BASIS DC is in line with our Arizona schools. If you would like me to add you to our national newsletter, email me offline at [xxx-email address not posted online-xxx]. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you next month. Best, MRS |

LOL!
Wasn't there some old saying about the word ASSume? |
| See your babies grow and thrive? I thought this was a middle school. |
| 11:23 -- sounds like the discussion on this very board prompted a quick explanation, and it sounds like external relations is where they want her, outside. |
|
As for "quick explanations" I would point at the wild speculative confabulations about what and why at 7/22 22:05 and 7/22 22:25, and now at 18:06.
We get it, you don't like Mary. No need to invent stuff. |
