Israel strikes Iran despite Trump's nuclear deal hopes

No one except the Axis of Evil wants a nuclear-capable Iran. No nation who ever criticized the Israeli destruction in Gaza has complained about Iran losing its nuclear potential. The most ardently anti-Israel countries have made bleating noises about toning it down to avoid a regional or world war.

So Israel is doing everyone else's dirty work here.

Sit tight and let it play out. Don't forget to follow what the IDF is doing in Gaza, because it's the perfect time to sneak in some extra destruction there while the world is distracted elsewhere.

Similarly, if Iran, or Gaza, etc., degraded Israel's nuclear capabilities, the rest of the world wouldn't complain either...

I'd say Iran has about 12 hours to decide to abandon its nuclear program. And if they don't, I suspect there might be a couple of B-2s in the air soon delivering a few $50 million 10,000 pound Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs to destroy Iran's underground nuclear facilities at Fordow. The ball is in Iran's court now.

Foolish. Absolutely foolish.

Why do we keep falling for neocon rhetoric over and over? They are always disastrously wrong.

“we” arent falling for it. Republicans are.

For sure some Democrats are. Look how silent they are.

They are the minority party and have no power. They can’t stop it. But none are saying they want it. This is all your side. You’re about to break it you own it. And explain to people why we can’t afford Medicare but can pick a fight with Iran— which hasn’t attacked us— because BiBi needs to stay out of jail.

Lol. Thanks for the 2003 comeback of this term. This single term is what drove Iran to enrich uranium. The real axis of evil is Israel , Saudi Arabia, the UK, and our puppet govt in the USA.

What's done is done. This war won't end until Iran's nuclear and missile programs are finished. There is zero chance that Saudi Arabia and Israel can live with a nuclear threat from Iran at this point. I really hope Iran's regime concedes the loss sooner rather than later. The US is moving all sorts of assets to the area. If Iran doesn't give up its nuclear and missile programs, I suspect the US and Israel will obliterate Iran's military forces from the air until there is regime change, whether by popular uprising or coup. But that leads to chaos in a giant country with 90 million people.

You know, I read similar takes on Afghanistan. In 2001. My parents read similar takes on Vietnam. Most likely outcome, we’re still mired down when the kid I was pregnant with on 9/11 is taking his kids to middle school.

The already mentally ill Gen Z going to war as ground troops in Iran will be a fiasco beyond the likes we have ever seen.

Then why did Trump cancel the Orange nuclear deal? Which was working? And would have prevented this?

President Trump just posted an ominous warning on his social media platform TruthSocial

Iran should have signed the “deal” I told them to sign.

What a shame, and waste of human life.

Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON.

I said it over and over again!

Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!

Tehran has a population of close to 10 million. This is disgusting and unethical. They cannot possibly evacuate.

They can evacuate to the snow capped mountains. Not going to work well when they start shooting down billions of our planes Ala Yemen

What they are doing is leaving us open to attack from China and Russia. We will be openly vulnerable, all to defend Israel. It is insanity.

It couldn’t happen to better people. Netanyahu and Trump will go down in history as the worst leaders ever

Yeah, but they are taking us down with them.

Except that: 1. We are now part of the Axis of evil, 2. We pay for and arm Israel so are part of the war by proxy (& likely directly sooner than later, 3. Everyone knows we have an incredibly weak leader at present so they will take the opportunities in the next few years to make all kinds of moves, and 4. All this could have been avoided if Trump hadn’t impulsively destroyed the Nuclear agreement during his first reign of chaos.

“The IC continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme leader Khomeini has not authorized the nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003. We continue to monitor closely if Tehran decides to reauthorize its nuclear weapons program. “

- Tulsi Gabbard, March 2025

Trump lives and breathes poll numbers. All it will take is a major dip within his popularity for Trump to throw Israel/Netanyahu under the bus and blame him for the fiasco.

They chose the most unhinged leader ever to lead them. He’s already waffled back and forth with his comments in the past week

Iran started enriching uranium after reading The Clean Break, and after the US invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, both countries on their border.

Every other country would’ve done the same for security reasons.

Obama had a decent trade off with them: their cash gets returned and sanctions get loosened in exchange for the cessation of their uranium enrichment and allowing inspectors into the country.

When Trump ruined the deal and bombed their general during his first administration, they returned to nuclear facility development.

You have another sector (including Netanyahu) that believes the Iranians tricked Obama for the cash and already have a bomb and if that’s the case, then why are they a threat now? They had the bomb since the Obama admin according to those proponents

Actually they are 35,000 pound bombs.

Largest non-nuclear explosives around. Only a few planes can carry them. Iran will definitely know who dropped them.

They are kind of cool - as long as you watch it on YouTube from a few thousand miles away.

35,000 pound bombs is something that gives you joy to watch?

Do you know how inhumane your lot sounds to normal human beings?
